John Abraham has finally confirmed that he will marry his girlfriend Priya Runchal this year. Interestingly, he says the wedding could take place within months, or weeks, or even days. Expect a surprise!

Lately there have been rumours about the actor planning to get married, with some gossipmongers even going on to claim that he got secretly married to Priya in Los Angeles a few months back, but John is now at last ready to lead his ladylove to the altar.

“Priya and I have decided to get married this year,” John Abraham confirms in an interview with TOI.

Bollywood star Aamir Khan, on his way to Varanasi to attend the wedding Wednesday of Rajeev, son of Ram Lakhan aka Nathuni, the auto-driver who drove him around the lanes of the temple city back in December 2009 when he was promoting “3 idiots”, stopped here for two hours and enjoyed the Bihari delicacy litti-chokha.

The 47-year-old star reached here post-noon, interacted with the local people and left by late afternoon by road to attend the wedding in Varanasi.

Said a member of Aamir’s team: “Aamir had never visited Patna. He took a flight from Mumbai to Patna, mingled with the locals for two hours and then left by car to reach his friend’s son’s wedding the same evening.”

Actor Kunal Kemmu and his girlfriend Soha Ali Khan have rubbished reports that they are set to tie the knot by November this year. The wedding plans are yet to be put in place, says the couple.

“None of them (reports) are true as of now… As and when we discuss it among ourselves, we will share it with everybody. But not as of now,” said Kunal.

Asked if they will pip Soha’s brother Saif Ali Khan and actress Kareena Kapoor to the wedding post, Kunal said: “It’s not like we are ahead of someone or behind. There is no hurry that if they are getting married, we should also do it.”

Soha added: “It’s not a race! Whenever it is the right time, we will talk.”

For now, Kunal, whose last release “Blood Money” fared average at the box office, is currently shooting for Saif’s home production “Go, Goa, Gone”.

You may accuse us of reading between the lines, but John Abraham’s marital advice to his Housefull 2 co-star Asin calls for some attention.

John and Asin bonded so well while working together on Housefull 2 that John even gave her a marriage advice. Since Asin is a Malayali and used to leave John dumbstruck whenever she rattled on in Malayalam which is as good as Greek to John, the actor advised her to get married to a half-Mallu.

Interestingly, John Abraham himself happens to be a half-Mallu since his dad is a Malayali. Which makes us wonder if John was insinuating at something in his marital advice to Asin. More

Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s elder daughter Esha Deol Sunday got engaged to businessman Bharat Takhtani, whom the Dream Girl describes as a “good looking” guy.

“The wedding dates have not been decided yet. However, post ‘Tell Me O Kkhuda’, we had decided that Esha would get settled. We will make an official announcement once we decide the marriage dates,” she told reporters and added: “My son-in-law is very good looking.”

Ritesh and Ganelia had been seeing each other since their Bollywood debut ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’ in 2003, and sealed their eight year long relationship in a grand Maharashtrian-style wedding yesterday. Today’s christian wedding was a small family affair. Ganelia looked stunning an full-length white gown, and Riesh looked dapper in a black suit, as the couple said their “I do’s”.

Riteish Deshmukh is the son of former Mahrashtra chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh and is from a Maharashtrian family, while Genelia D’Souza is from a Mangalorean Catholic family, which is why, the wedding was also solemnised in a Christian way at a church.

Ritu wanted to avoid the usual bling and shimmer for Genelia’s wedding trousseau because she didn’t want clothes to overshadow the actress’ vivacious personality. “The silhouette which I designed for her (Genelia) is simple yet elegant and chic,” says Ritu Kumar.

Ritu Kumar has designed two dresses for Genelia, and for the wedding day, Kumar has designed a lehanga, choli and odhni in gold and indigo blue for Ritesh Deshmukh’s bride. The blouse is made of indigo blue velvet with antique dhapka embroidery, while the lehanga has antique gold weaving with zardozi embroidery. Acrtess Diya Mirza, who feels that Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s have set an example for others by handling their relationship so nicely, says she has no plans to get married this year.

“Not this year as it is already a packed year and I’ll be busy attending the weddings,” said Diya who was here Monday to attend the sangeet ceremony of Riteish-Genelia, who are getting married Friday.

“It’s a very, very wonderful example to all of the other newcomers coming into the industry. I would specially like to say that the way Riteish and Genelia have handled their relationship and the way they have gone about it, is beautiful,” said the 30-year-old actress.
