Filmmaker Karan Johar has denied reports that he took a dig at Katrina Kaif’s magazine poses, saying the actress is very talented and hard working.
“Absolutely crazy media report suggesting I have said something about Katrina! I have not! Its totally baseless and a lie,” tweeted the 39-year-old.
According to media reports, Karan was overheard joking about Katrina’s posing skills at a recent party and making comments on her monotonous looks for magazine covers. It was also said that he had mimicked some of her poses.
However, the filmmaker is upset with the news and finds the reports “ridiculous”.
“Katrina is not only a dear friend but also a supremely talented and hard-working megastar! And all this reportage is ridiculous,” he tweeted. Source

Filmmaker Karan Johar’s ‘Student of The Year’ is set hit the theatres Oct 19 this year.
Co-produced by Johar’s Dharma Productions and Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment, the film will launch three new faces in the B-town – Alia, who is the daughter of Mahesh Bhatt, David Dhawan’s son Varun, and model-turned-actor Siddharth Malhotra – in prominent roles.
It is the first time that Johar is working with an all-new cast and is said to be excited about working with the new bunch of actors, because it reminds him of his initial days in the industry.
‘Karan’s been shooting in Bangkok for the past several weeks now and he’s expected to return sometime in the first week of May. He’s extremely excited to work with a bunch of newcomers and had been talking about their young energetic vibe, reminding him of his own days as a newcomer,’ a source said.

Well, you might have seen sports as an integral part of Karan Johar’s movie however, the filmmaker has revealed that he is the most ‘unsporty’ person.
KJo, who is presently shooting a football sequence for his forthcoming film Student Of The Year, in Bangkok, disclosed that the only sport he was ever a part of, in school, was tug-of-war, courtesy his heavy weight.
“Am the most unsporty person in the world and yet i always have some sport or the other in my films!!! Now shooting football!!! HELP!!! The only sport i was ever a part of in school was Tug of war…my house needed an overweight student to balance an otherwise low weight team,” he tweeted. More
Who looks like a goddess? It’s Vidya Balan versus Priyanka Chopra for the role of Goddess Parvati in the film adaptation of the celebrated novel The Immortals Of Meluha. The buzz is that Karan Johar is keen to rope in Vidya Balan for the role, but the actor Hrithik Roshan, who will be seen as Lord Shiva in the film, is apparently more interested in Priyanka Chopra for the role of Parvati.
After acquiring the rights of the novel The Immortals Of Meluha, written by Amish Tripathi, Karan Johar zeroed in on Hrithik Roshan to play Lord Shiva. However, an official announcement on the same is yet to be made. Now, the buzz is that Karan Johar is eager to have Vidya Balan as Parvati. Karan was mighty impressed with the actress after watching her in The Dirty Picture and Kahaani, and now thinks she suits best the role of a goddess. Karan may have envisioned Hrithik and Vidya together, but a question looms if the audiences will like the pairing.
It’s learnt that Hrithik Roshan has a preference towards Priyanka Chopra to be cast as Parvati. The actor has worked with her in Agneepath and is also shooting with the actress for Krrish 3. Moreover, Hrithik and Priyanka look good together on big screen, and that would certainly add to the USP of the film. More

Actor Boman Irani has been asked to do a cameo in Karan Johar’s “Student of The Year”. He will most likely share screen space with his son Kayoze, who is making his acting debut with the film.
“In Bangkok for a special appearance in SOTY (‘Student of The Year’). Might just share screen space with my son Kayoze for the first time. Hope the blighter is nervous,” Boman tweeted.
“Student of The Year” is Johar’s next directorial project after his 2010 film “My Name Is Khan”.
The film, being co-produced by Shah Rukh Khan, will also be a launch pad for three other newbies — former model Siddharth Malhotra, David Dhawan’s son Varun and Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter Aalia. Source
Rahul Kapoor (Imran Khan) lives to please his parents. Riana Braganza (Kareena Kapoor) has dumped six boyfriends and lives life on her own terms. They meet in Vegas but the movie is not about What happened in Vegas.
Instead, Imran Khan as the vulnerable Rahul evolves in front of your eyes. From uptight to edgy, he grows from boy to man.
Kareena takes up from where she left off in Jab We Met. I thought this was better. She adds just the right amount of pep to Riana Braganza. Rahul and Riana don’t walk off into the sunshine. The movie has a surprising climax.
Amit Trivedi, the young music director comes with an impressive record. You’ll remember him for the tracks from Dev D which earned him the National Film Award for Best Music Direction or for Aisha. My favourite is Iktaara from Wake Up Sid. More

The filmmakers down south are now learnt to be vying to buy the film’s remake rights from producer Karan Johar.

Karan Johar has remade the 1990 action-drama Agneepath with Hrithik Roshan in the lead, but the filmmaker says he and director Karan Malhotra never attempted to recreate the magic of the Amitabh Bachchan-starrer original.
The 39-year-old filmmaker, whose father Yash Johar had produced the earlier film, says they wanted to take the basic core of Agneepath and narrate it an altogether different manner because it was “virtually impossible” to emulate something as powerful as Vijay Deenanth Chauhan.
“How can anyone emulate Amitabh Bachchan? Nobody should do that and it is to Karan Malhotra’s intelligence and Hrithik’s conviction that they understood it really well and approached the film and the characters in their own way,” Johar told. More
Though shooting in Vegas at Christmas was an expensive affair, director Shakun Batra and the producer Karan Johar did not want to replicate the vibe in another city, for their next.
The makers of Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol may have passed off Bangkok as India in the pre-climax scene in the film, for the sake of convenience of shooting, not all directors are willing to do so.
And that’s exactly what Shakun Batra did, as he shot his debut film Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu at Las Vegas during Christmas and New Year last year. The story featuring Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor is set against the festive backdrop of the casino city.
Not surprisingly, it was initially difficult for the first time director to procure the permissions to shoot there. More
