After making the comeback vehicle for Karisma Kapoor, Vikram Bhatt has another project in store for actor Aftab Shivdasani. The Dangerous Ishhq director has decided to veer his attention towards his next production – the sequel to his horror film, 1920 starring Aftab.

Both of them have already worked together in various projects such as Deewane Huye Paagal, Awara Paagal Deewana, Kasoor and Ankahee.

Vikram Bhatt was quoted saying, “My film with Karisma is out. It’s now Aftab for me. I will now concentrate on this project. The shoot is complete and in the coming weeks we will chalk out a strategy for it. The film has been directed by Bhushan Patel, who was my assistant. There is more evil than the first part in this one. The film depicts Aftab in new light. I am sure he will be noticed.”

Aftab’s film career has not been going great guns. He was last seen in films like Players and Bin Bulaye Baraati which failed miserably at the box-office and his attempt to turn producer also failed with the failure of Aao Wish Karein in 2009.

The sequel has been shot in Sweden and stars Tia Bajpai alongside Shivdasani.  Source

Katrina Kaif is currently working with Bollywood’s three leading Khans – Aamir Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan – in three different projects. So posessive is the actress about them that given the chance, she won’t let anyone else work with them.

But she was reticent on who her favourite Khan was. “This doesn’t make sense to me. It is unfair,” Katrina told reporters when asked to pick her favourite Khan.

“If suppose if you will ask them to choose one of the actresses, even I will feel bad. Everyone is different. All three of them are icons and legends in their own way. I am fortunate enough to work with them. It’s been great so far.

“If I had the chance, I would not allow anyone to work with them. But that is not possible as you cannot stop anyone from working with them,” she added. More

Nargis Fakhri is excited about bagging her latest Khiladi 786 with the original Khiladi of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar. However, rumors surfacing about Kumar coming to her rescue have left her miffed. Buzz was that Akshay came to her rescue with three films under his banner after Fakhri failed to get any offers post Rockstar.

When asked about this bit of news, she was quoted saying, “That is a strange statement, I don’t find it valid.”

She was quoted saying, “I am glad I am getting to work with Akshay Kumar, that too in a comedy. At least the first of the three is a comedy. There were many scripts coming in but I wanted to do something fun. Rathore, Vikram Rathore aka Akshay Kumar will soon flag off a nationwide hunt in search of the country’s most popular ‘rowdies’ as part of the latest promotional campaign for the action-entertainer ROWDY RATHORE directed by Prabhu Deva.

UTV has tied up with a popular radio channel for the Rowdy Hunt – a contest to look for social do-gooders and others who work towards social betterment. Winners of the contest will accompany superstar Akshay Kumar to promote the film during his tours.

The hunt will take place in Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mumbai and New Delhi, where callers are invited to share their grievances and the issues will be solved in true ‘rowdy’ style.

The RJ/host will then select 5 rowdies in each city based on a rowdy meter who will then comprise Akshay Kumar’s rowdy gang in a particular city.

Talking about the hunt co-producer Shabinaa Khan says, “It’s going to be very different. The idea is to do something completely new besides just the mundane press conferences to promote the film.” More

One would have expected Karisma Kapoor to make her comeback with established stars. But the case is different with “Dangerous Ishq”. She says it’s because the movie required actors with no image.

“These young actors have been cast in ‘Dangerous Ishq’ because we required actors with no image. That’s why they have been cast… and they have been very appropriately cast in the film,” said Karisma.

“Dangerous Ishq” features model-actor Rajniesh Duggal opposite Karisma. It also features model-actor Ruslaan Mumtaz, who made his debut with the film “Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar”, and Arya Babbar.

The starlet has already started shooting for the film in Bangkok. According to sources, the actress was first considered for Abhinav’s film even before she was offered Student of the Year. However, it was Karan’s film which went on floor before Abhinav’s project.

Zayed Khan has been speaking of nothing but his action scenes in Priyadarshan’s TEZZ these days. The actor has been on a high ever since he shot the high octane scenes but was literally neck deep in water when he was shooting for the film.

Remind him of it and he smiles. “Oh yes I was neck deep in water and Ajay Devgn had the last laugh over it. Just before we had filmed the shot he had asked me why I was risking my life by doing such stunts and I had told him I enjoyed it and would take care little realizing the repercussions of the dangers lurking there,” says Zayed.

Reminiscing over the incident he says, “We were shooting a scene on the canal and we were sitting on the banks of the canal discussing over it. Ajay told me I would get hurt and it was not easy. The canal was freezing cold. I was asked to jump from the bridge on to a jet ski. As we started shooting I misjudged the boat and before I could handle, me and the stunt man both toppled over and we were in the freezing waters in a fraction of a second. The water was filthy and dirty and even though I am a good swimmer I felt like ten thousand daggers were piercing my body. I couldn’t move. I just wanted to come out of the water and when I looked around I saw Ajay standing on the banks and laughing at me,” explains Zayed. More

Actor Emraan Hashmi underwent complete makeover for Dibakar Banerjee’s ‘Shanghai’ and the impact was such that actor went unrecognised.

‘Emraan has a huge fan following. Whenever he comes, people call out his name. Surprisingly no one recognised him (during the shoot of ‘Shanghai’) because Emraan sported a small paunch and buck tooth too,’ Banerjee said in a statement.

‘Shanghai’ is a political thriller, which also features Abhay Deol and Kalki Koechlin.

Of Emraan’s character, Banerjee said: ‘Emraan plays a small town guy, a street smart character.’

‘He is always on the lookout to make money and once in a while does sidey night shoots. If he sees a girl, he will sweet talk her into getting a photo shoot done. Actually, he is a very lovable character with tremendous depth.’

With the original rights to the song being bought, music director Bappa Lahiri has rendered a contemporary take on the Big B song and it has been sung by none other than Sukhwinder Singh.

Shreyas Talpade and Nana Patekar bond on the sets of Priyadarshan’s comic caper KAMAAL DHAMAAL MALAMAAL. So much so that Nana’s pranks on the sets of this Percept Pictures’ venture are taken for real by those on the sets.

When someone quizzed Nana on his dosti with Shreyas, Nana explained to him that, “I have seen Shreyas when he was in the cradle. I know his dad well and I have cradled him as a baby in my own arms.” Shreyas also admits that Nana is ‘Nana Kaka’ to him.

But, it seems that he needs to look for Nana’s tips on his unique sense of humour, for the next prank Nana played on another unsuspecting person was calling Shreyas his son-in-law. “His wife Deepti is my daughter. And I am looking forward to her coming soon on the sets,” said Nana.

While Shreyas preferred to grin and go with Nana’s joke, the person seriously went on to enquire with Shreyas, how long were he and Deepti married. “Seven years,” replied Shreyas.
