Actress Anushka Sharma who is fondly known as Yash Raj Films camp’s favourite girl will be apparently signing Raj Kumar Hirani’s next directorial venture PEEKAY. According to the media reports, Anushka Sharma and Hirani had a couple of meetings probably regarding the film.

Speculations are also doing the rounds that Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan will be playing the male lead in PEEKAY.

The red carpet was shinning with the bright Bollywood ladies, who took fancy to elaborate gowns, blingy saris and elegant anarkalis for the event. Anushka Sharma and Deepika Padukone stole the limelight with their gorgeous gowns and make-up. Yes, she was speechless when the Yash Chopra new film’s press release said that the film stars Shahrukh Khan with the “very beautiful” Katrina Kaif and the “very talented” Anushka Sharma.

“I didn’t know how to react when I read that. I didn’t know whether I should be happy that I’m talented or be sad that I’m not beautiful. I remember having this conversation with my father. Although a good to decent opening was very much on the cards and was predicted by most trade pundits yet Yash Raj Films’ LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL opened to a dull to average response at the box-office. This came as quite a surprise to many who were expecting the film to open much better. But when we think logically the under-performance of the Ranveer-Anushka starrer does not come as a shock, especially if we compare it to the teams’ first film together, BAND BAAJA BAARAAT. And here is why!

First of all while the characters of the lead actors Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma in BAND BAAJA BAARAAT were very identifiable and rooted and was a source of inspiration to many struggling youths, the casting of Ranveer Singh as a Casanova (especially because of his boy-next-door looks) and Anushka Sharma as a hot and sexy con-woman did not have many takers, nor was it in any way identifiable.

Quite similarly the story of BAND BAAJA BAARAAT was very inspirational and was humorously depicted as well as identifiable, but there was not much to identify from the story idea of LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL, especially because it had one man conning many women and not the other way around! More

LADIES V/S RICKY BAHL is up for release and yet again the world is interested in knowing if Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma are seeing each other. While the man of the moment continues to be amused with the immense interest shown by many from within as well as outside the industry about their real life pairing, Ranveer gone on record for the umpteenth time to declare that he and Anushka stay on to be great friends.

”In fact I can say on record that she is my closest friend in the industry. She is the one who I can claim to be belonging to my inner circle,’ declares Ranveer ‘As for us meeting frequently then well, both of us have a very busy life and hence hang out as and when we get a chance. After the Khans and Ajay Devgn, Ranveer Singh of “Band Baaja Baaraat” fame has toned himself with six-pack abs for his next release “Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl”.

The 26-year-old actor went on a strict 48-hour diet regime and stayed hungry for nearly two days to get the perfect look, according to a source from production company, Yash Raj Films.

In “Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl”, Ranveer will once again be seen with his “Band Baaja Baaraat” co-star Anushka Sharma. Directed by Maneesh Sharma, the film will release Dec 9.

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan flaunted six-pack abs in “Om Shanti Om”, “Bodyguard” and “Ghajini” respectively. Source
