Farah Khan who just finished shooting for her acting debut in Bela Segal’s film Shirin Farhad Ki Nikal Padi, opposite Boman Irani has stated that though she thoroughly enjoyed working on this film produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, this will be her first and last acting project.

The Om Shanti Om director was quoted saying, “This one was a role of a lifetime, and now that I’ve tasted blood, I would never settle for anything less. So this well could be my first and last role as an actor. As for taking up a role in my brother Sajid Khan’s film, I am sure he will only give me some retarded role, which I would never take up.”

Farah, who has just wrapped this film reveals that her own directorial next Happy New Year, is all set to go on floors post October. The film starring, Shah Rukh Khan and Abhishek Bachchan, will be her next after the box-office failure Tees Maar Khan. ‘King Khan’ was roped in after the director-choreographer patched up with him, following his much-publicized fight with Shirish Kunder. Farah was quoted saying, “I am yet to finalize the casting and we will roll in the last quarter of this year.”

Boney Kapoor, who now wants to make a film with his son Arjun Kapoor, will have to wait owing to his three-film deal with Ishaqzaade production house.

Though he did not launch him, filmmaker Boney Kapoor has now found a suitable script for Arjun. However, the project will have to wait owing to his three-film deal with the makers of his Habib Faisal directed debut.

A source states that Boney recently found the right subject to make a movie with his son.

“Arjun was often asked why his father didn’t launch him. And he had maintained that more than a launch, it was more about the right script and right team for his father to make the film with him,” says the source, adding, “A few days ago, the producer came up with the concept for a film. It’s a contemporary romance saga.” More

Actress Parineeti Chopra, whose first solo film Ishaqzaade hits theatres Friday, holds three degrees in finance and always dreamt of becoming an investment banker. But global recession in 2009 changed her future, and she landed up as an actor.

“I am triple-qualified. I have done triple honours in Business, Finance and Economics. I have grown up wanting to be a banker, so studying finance was an automatic thing,” the 23-year-old said.

“I went to England and studied in Manchester Business School. Then I went to London because I wanted to work in an investment bank. But recession hit in 2009 and I wasn’t getting jobs and it was not because of my qualification, it was because they couldn’t give jobs to who were not British nationals,” Parineeti Chopra added. Cousins Sonam and Arjun Kapoor have faced with one common problem during their growing up years. Both were overweight, but they dealt with it in their own way.

Talking about the alleged love affair, Sonakshi says, “Ranveer is not my type at all. Such link-up reports affect me at times since I am answerable to my parents. I don’t know why someone would try to misconstrue our professional chemistry.”

While Sonakshi might deny being romantically involved with Ranveer, the actress however holds him in great esteem. Says she, “He’s full of energy, and just the opposite of what I am as an actor. He likes to prepare for his scenes and rehearse a lot; you know what you call method acting. He continues to stay in character even when the camera is switched off. A lot of Bollywood actresses are jumping onto the action bandwagon. The latest to join the list is Sameera Reddy. The actress would be seen doing some daredevil stunts in “Tezz” and looking at her courage, co-star Ajay Devgn calls her the hero of the film.

“Sameera is not the heroine but the hero of the film. She has done some amazing action in the film and is nothing less than any hero in the film,” he said in a statement.

Sameera was said to be unhappy over not being offered the item song in the film. However, she said she has no complains and enjoyed doing the stunts.

“I was not offered the item song but I got to be a Lara Croft in the film. It’s an action-oriented character and a strong role. Women in Bollywood never get to perform such stunts. When I was offered the role I was told that I can’t complain that my nails are going to break. I enjoyed doing the stunts,” said the 29-year-old actress.

Directed by Priyadarshan, “Tezz” also features Mohanlal, Anil Kapoor, Boman Irani, Kangna Ranaut and Zayed Khan in prominent roles. It is slated for April 27 release. Source

Bollywood star Karisma Kapoor is looking forward to more of acting in the coming days since her kids have now grown a little older.

Karisma was in Kolkata on Friday to launch a leather product brand. At the event, the actress addressed the media saying, “Since my kids have become a bit older I am looking forward to acting and doing more films. Family is most important to me and so I try to spend all the time with my kids, which is very important.”

The Bollywood grapevine is buzzing with rumours about Amitabh Bachchan shooting for his next film, towards the end of April. Industry sources reveal that the actor could feature in a song in Ajay Devgn’s next release, also featuring Abhishek Bachchan in the lead. The 69-year-old legend had been resting after two abdominal surgeries earlier this February and recently returned to face the camera for a promo of the upcoming Indian Premiere League.

According to our source, director Rohit Shetty has five days of shoot left, including a song. “The song features all the principal actors — Ajay Devgn, Abhishek, Asin Thottumukal and Prachi Desai. Someone suggested getting Amitji to also feature in this song, as it’s a very lively and foot tapping number. Someone else in the team also suggested getting the actor to introduce the film to the audience,” said our source. More

Salman Khan is all set to play Chulbul Pandey once again, in the sequel to his superhit action film Dabangg.

With younger brother Arbaaz directing the flick this time, the 46-year-old actor will apparently get more involved in the making of Dabangg 2.

While Sonakshi Sinha will continue to be Salman’s lady love in the sequel, villain Sonu Sood will not be seen in the movie.
