Zarine Khan is tired of the constant talk about her uncanny resemblance to fellow actress Katrina Kaif and feels that media should get over it. She also shot down reports of wearing a bikini in the upcoming comedy “Housefull 2″.

“Housefull 2″ is her second full-fledged film after “Veer” and it is being directed by Sajid Khan.

“The first schedule of ‘Housefull 2′ is over. It was fun. I’m really looking forward to the next schedule,” Zarine, who was the show stopper for Divya K. Ahuja at the India International Jewellery Week (IIJW), told reporters here.

“No, I am not wearing a bikini in the film,” added the actress who walked the ramp in a black Victorian dress and elaborate diamond jewellery. More

Zarine Khan, who went from a whopping 100 kgs to her current 57kgs gives all credit to her gym instructor and pilates teacher Yasmin Karachiwala.

The star is also training hard towards a more toned and fit body for her forthcoming film Sajid Nadiadwala’s HOUSEFULL 2.

Talking about the military boot camp Yasmin has put her through Zarine says, “Every morning, I do pilates for an hour and weight training thrice a week with Yasmin Karachiwala. I also do some swimming and jogging and eat every two hours to increase my metabolic rate. Sweets and fried food are strict no.”

If sources are to be believed, recently Salman pulled some strings, convincing director Anees Bazmee to bring Zarine on board, for a small appearance in Ready. Zarine, accompanied by actor turned producer, Arbaaz Khan, flew down to Bangkok, last week to shoot the cameo with Salman, in Pattaya.

Bazmee confirmed to a leading daily, “It’s a small scene. We needed Arbaaz and Zarine. Salman’s equation with them made it easy for us to get them to agree to do the scene.”

A source said, “Salman felt Zarine is being left behind for no fault of hers.

The beautiful Zarine Khan, who made her acting debut opposite Salman Khan in Veer, says she owes a lot to the star whom she doesn’t hesitate to call her mentor. “I am here because of Salman Khan. He is my mentor who discovered me and gave me my first Bollywood break. He has always been very supportive and I owe a lot to him,” said Zarine. “I never thought that I would become an actress. I wanted to become a doctor, but destiny had something else in store for me. I am happy with the way my life is shaping up,” she added.

The actress was in the capital on Wednesday to support ‘The Body Shop Loves You’ campaign. Before the release of Veer she was referred to as Katrina Kaif’s look alike. But Zarine says post the film, people have started recognising her.

“It’s fair enough if people compare me to her (Katrina). She is a beautiful woman and I take the compliment in a positive manner. Frankly speaking, after Veer, people have started recognising me as Zarine Khan,” said the 25-year-old actress. Here comes the cat lady Zarine Khan. She has an express fondness for cats. Reportedly, a certain feline called “Softy” is the prime pet of her life.

Apparently, the ‘Veer’ babe had found the cat in a rather fragile state. On rushing it to the vet, Khan learnt that malnutrition and weak bones had resulted in the cat’s ill health.

Admitting it to an animal hospital, Khan visited Softy every single day of the month. However, she was pained to be dissuaded by docs stating that Softy’s chances of survival were rather dismal.

A determined Khan decided to walk barefoot from her residence to a famous ‘dargah’ to obtain some divine assistance for her pet. Source
