Actress Sonam Kapoor denies reports of having problems with actor Shahid Kapoor and director Punit Malhotra.
It was reported that the 26-year-old, who worked in Malhotra’s directorial debut “I Hate Luv Storys”, has turned down a film by the young director because he has roped in Shahid, her “Mausam” co-star in the male lead.
However, Sonam took to Twitter to shoot down the reports and wrote: “I’m hearing the funniest rumours about myself! In Thailand, and all I can say is I’m on the floor laughing.”
“Okay morning guys I’m not mad at Shahid Kapoor or Punit Malhotra and I’m not dating anyone! I’m minding my own business and working,” she further tweeted. Source
While the Indian youth faces criticism for aping the west, young actress Sonam Kapoor tells she finds nothing wrong with it as good values are “universal”.
“Values are usually universal…good values are universal. The west in not a devil coming to change our minds about certain things. Yes, we have amazing values in India which we should be very proud of. But I think its fine to get influenced by the world because the world is getting smaller in a lot of ways,” the 26-year-old actress told here at a youth fest.
Sonam, considered to be a style icon for the youths, feels India has a great future because of the young population in the country.
” India is predominantly a youthful nation. When you are younger, you are more idealistic and you want to strive for a better future for ourselves. I think we have an amazing future because we are such a young nation,” she told. More

It is said that catfights are inevitable when two actresses work together in a film, but Bipasha Basu and Sonam Kapoor proved it wrong by bonding well on the sets of their forthcoming action thriller “Players”. Both shared a “talkative” equation while shooting.
“Something very similar between us is that we can’t keep our mouths shut. We just talk about ourselves. We are one of those girls who just want to talk about ourselves,” Sonam told reporters here Thursday.
Came Bipasha’s quick admission. “Abhishek (Bachchan) gets tired because we talk to each other and keep talking about ourselves.”

Pankaj Kapur’s MAUSAM was recently in news for being denied a NOC (No Objection Certificate) from the IAF (Indian Air Force). Following the denial MAUSAM was shown to the IAF that granted the film a conditional NOC asking for a change of 30 seconds in the film. The makers of the film accepted the condition and have carried out the required changes.
While briefing a press conference director Pankaj Kapur revealed, “The IAF didn’t ask us to remove anything, they only asked for minor changes, these were computer graphic changes to be made in an action sequence in the film which we have incorporated. It is our duty to make sure that all the representation is done authentically and in accordance with IAF, I thank them, they have been very supportive.” More
