Dressed in a stunning Tarun Tahiliani outfit, Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty was the cynosure of all eyes as she grazed the red carpet at the gala opening of the 2011 New York City International Film festival.

There to promote her forthcoming film “The Desire – A Journey of a Woman” where she plays an Indian classical dancer who ends up becoming a monk, Shilpa spoke highly of the film that marks her return to the big screen after 4 years .

The film that went on to win the best Narrative Feature Film at the Geneva Film Festival was also screened at the prestigious Boston International Film Festival . Shilpa, who is playing an Oddisi dancer in her next film The Desire: A Journey of A Woman, has apparently indulged in some seriously bold sequences with co-star Xia Yu in the film.

Bombshell diva Shilpa Shetty has refused reports that her marriage is in trouble, saying that she and her husband Raj Kundra are holidaying in the US. She also says that she is not pregnant.

“First I hear am preggars (NOT true) Now I hear my husbands havin an affair frm the press. Common fr papers 2 stoop low 2 sensationalise false,” Shilpa posted on her Twitter page Tuesday.

There were reports that Kundra had met a gorgeous lady at a hair-transplant clinic in London and later gifted the clinic assistant a European holiday.

Shilpa Shetty is pregnant, at least if we are to believe the latest rumors. According to several sources the actress was seen at various clinics in the city.

If this news is true then one of Shilpa’s biggest dreams will come true: starting a family. The actress always wanted to start a family and be a mother. In 2009 the actress went to the extent to call her wish desperate. “I’m desperate to start a family. I just love children and we’ve a beautiful ready-made nursery in the new house. I want at least two children. There is already a child’s bedroom here because Raj has a nephew and I can certainly see my children running around this place. And there is enough space for us to live at one end while Raj’s parents live at the other.” And this was even before she was married.

A source confirms her pregnancy: “Shilpa is expecting and the couple is extremely happy. Only close family members and friends have been informed of the new arrival. Raj and Shilpa don’t want to announce it publicly before the first trimester passes.”

Shilpa Shetty spent her first wedding anniversary yesterday in Dubai with husband Raj Kundra at her new home on the ninetieth floor of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa.

Says a source close to the actress, “Shilpa was thrilled when Raj gifted her the luxury apartment. It’s his wedding anniversary gift to her.

He gifted her the keys in Mumbai a week ago. She had visited Dubai a few months ago, had loved the building and expressed a wish of staying there.

The couple has taken a three-day break to celebrate their first wedding anniversary there. Raj also has something else planned for Shilpa – a lavish dinner with a few surprises thrown in.”
