Preity Zinta - The Lady Left Alone Without A Man

The only thing that bothers Preity Zinta is her link-ups with co-stars and friends, as a result of which none of her male friends, she says, wants to go out with her. ‘The only problem is any man whom I’m seen with in public is automatically linked with me. I’ve come to a place where none of my male friends wants to go out with me any more! I think I’ll just have to pick my date for the next public event through a contest!’ she added laughing. Preity, who is co-owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) team Kings XI Punjab, has to cope up with being linked to not only her co-stars but also cricketers now.

‘Can you imagine, members of my own team! I’ve always maintained I’d never mix business and pleasure. Now that I’m getting fully into business, I’m narrowing my chances of finding a man. I know I’d never get into criminal activities, so maybe…’

Preity has been spending a lot of time outside Mumbai and says she goes out of the city to avoid prying eyes. ‘Whenever I’m not shooting I’m out of the country. Don’t get me wrong. I love Mumbai to death. But tell me what can an actor can do in the city if she isn’t working? I can’t go out partying. I can’t even take a jog. What do I do on a Sunday? I can’t even go out. ‘Now (after the Ness episode) it’s become worse. I can’t go out with any guy. If I do I’ve to beg some women to come along, otherwise the guy and I get linked up. I can’t handle it any more,’ said Preity. Source

Preity Zinta’s House Is Robbed

While Preity Zinta was away from Mumbai, her home in Mumbai was ransacked and robbed, allegedly by her domestic help. She says, “Mere ghar main ho gayi solid chori. They took money and some jewellery. My mother came to Mumbai, spotted the theft and reported it immediately. It was her money that they took.”

After a six-week, well spent vacation with brother and friends, Preity is back. She has always been travelling extensively, “I’ve always been a gypsy. Whether for my outdoor shoots or holidays, I’m frequently out of the country. On my way back, I stopped over in London.” Now she’s back to listening to scripts. “I’m listening to some really interesting projects. Hopefully, I’ll be signing a couple of films shortly. That would shut those up who want to write me off.”

She is proud to admit that she is financially independent, “I’ll never be broke and never have to depend on a man for money. Putting my time and effort into IPL was a wise decision.” Preity has had a make over and is back with a bang, “Seriously, I’ve come back, rejuvenated and charged and raring to go.” Source

Salman Khan Walks The Ramp : Preity Zinta Cheers

The cutie pie Preity Zinta played the role of a perfect cheerleader for dear friend Salman Khan whose `Being Human` show at the ongoing HDIL India Couture Week here late Tuesday saw many celebrities strutting down the ramp.

Dressed in a `Being Human` sleeveless T-shirt and sporting a new look with fringes falling perfectly on her forehead, the actress looked as ravishing as ever.

“Wow! Salman! Salman!,” shouted Zinta and continued clapping till he left the ramp. It was not just for Salman, she also cheered for other celebrities like Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgan, Akshay Kumar, Saif Ali Khan, Govinda, Sanjay Dutt, Katrina Kaif, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan with equal enthusiasm.

“I must tell you that my throat is already gone. I was so happy that all this shouting and cheering just happened. The show was all about being human and being together. Preity Zinta Turns Item Girl

Surprise surprise ! Preity Zinta was caught looking very much like Aishwarya Rai in the ‘Kajra Re’ number, and making a similar gang of guys sway to her verve. She is actually doing a special song for dear friend Salman Khan’s home production ‘Main Aur Mrs Khanna’.

And no, she has not copied Ash, as she has just agreed to do a ‘special’ song in the flick, and not an item song like Ash’s ‘Kajra Re’. The flick stars Kareena Kapoor and Sohail Khan too. The perky actor said to a news daily, “It’s an interesting cameo. The song’s called ‘Happening’ and I agreed to do it because director Prem Soni is a friend. And since Salman has played Prem so often, let’s just say this one is for Prem.”

Prem (the director) added, “Unlike Ash, who was just a part of ‘Kajra Re’, Preity plays an important role in the film.”

And the best news is that defying expectations, Preity is looking really ‘happening’ in the song. She is reported to have worked hard for the special appearance. With two super fit actors Salman and Kareena in the film, Preity forced herself to follow a special diet, take up a tough exercise regime and do yoga. Source

Shiney Ahuja has a support in the form of one actress who is feeling compassionate about the whole episode. Apparently, Preity Zinta thinks that Shiney Ahuja is one of those few unfortunate actors who is getting slammed down by media even before anything is confirmed.

The actress who is back in Mumbai post holidaying in Europe and the US to recuperate from her break-up with Ness Wadia said in an interview that she has enormous faith in the judiciary and that they will do justice with the actor.

Rumour has it that the actress had faced serious problems with Shiney Ahuja during the shooting of Har Pall; however, the actress has set aside all her differences at the time of crises in the actor’s life. The actress even expressed her anger on media for blowing the issue by saying that one must consider that Shiney has a family too and all this would only aggravate their sorrow and pain. Source

Preity Zinta On Her IPL & Marriage Possibilities

Here’s a quick chat with Preity Zinta.

Q :  Films, IPL, sponsoring 34 poor girls…is that what you call ‘branching out’?

Preity : (Smiles) I have always lived life the way I wanted and always done things that are different and exciting to me. Yes, in your words, I am really branching out because I am loving it.

Q : This time fellow actor Shilpa Shetty has also joined you and Shah Rukh. Comment.

Preity : Watch the matches…(laughs aloud).

Q : Why did you suddenly decide to sponsor 34 girls?

Preity : It was not ’suddenly’. I always wanted to do something for poor children, especially girls, and what can be better than giving them proper education, good food and clothing. These 34 kids are born poor girls. Just wait for some 10-15 years and see how they shape up! More
