Our sources reveal that Sunny Deol has expressed his interest to rope in charming Prachi Desai for his forthcoming venture ‘Ghayal Returns’. The idea was given by director Ashwini Chaudhary who got impressed with the actress after watching her performances in ‘Rock On!’ and ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’. Sunny even felt that she befitted the character of one of the lead actress, sources revealed.

The film which is the sequel of popular 1990 movie ‘Ghayal’, said to have two heroines. According to the director the story takes off 20 years after the protagonist in Ghayal, Ajay Mehra, goes to jail.

However Chaudhary maintained that they are yet to decide on actresses. As of now only Sunny and Om Puri are finalised for the project.

Seems like petite Prachi Desai is not game for an on-screen kisses as buzz has it that she recently snubbed none other than a hunk of an actor John Abraham for a smoldering smooch that was required in their next film.

As to why she rebuffed John, Prachi reasons that she has a no-kiss clause written in her film contracts. Now as a substitute of a lip-lock a unit member revealed, “Instead, a sensuous track will now be shot between John and Chitrangda. This will be the first time they will be paired on-screen.”

Reportedly, Abraham plays a Casanova in Shrishti Arya`s next, which also stars Chitrangda Singh and Desai. In keeping with the image his character demanded, John was to kiss Prachi, but now it seems audience has to do with a sensuous track.

However, a source close to Prachi however maintains, “She is open to discussing her character as per the script demands. There`s no such hard-and-fast rule from her side.” Source

Titled ‘Kudrat-Love Story’, Prachi will be paired opposite ‘Fashion’ famed Arjan Bajwa.

The film is being produced under the banner of Grover Arts and it is produced and directed by Anil Raj Grover who is also the story writer of the film.

The screenplay and dialogue are done by Vishal Vijay Kumar while the film has lyrics by A M Turaz.

‘Kudrat’ is expected to go on floors in the beginning of 2011. Presented by Color Chip the film will be shot at picturesque locations of Chamba (Himachal Pradesh), Kolkata and Mumbai. Source

The slick appeal of the Ajay Devgn- and Emraan Hashmi-starrer retro era underworld saga ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ managed to bring back the queues and the ‘House Full’ board at the ticket counters this weekend.

”Once Upon…’ has been rocking on the screens in terms of numbers. It has had the biggest opening overseas ever, especially in Dubai, for any Ajay Devgn- or Emraan Hashmi-starrer,’ Sunny Khanna, senior vice president, Balaji Motion Pictures, told IANS over phone from Mumbai.

‘It has even had the biggest opening in terms of a Diwali release, like last year’s ‘All The Best’ that had Ajay and Sanjay Dutt,’ he added.

Trade sources claim the movie has grossed over Rs.30 crore (Rs.300 million) in the domestic market in its initial run and is expected to touch the Rs.75 crore gross mark in its overall run worldwide. Hey friends ! Shy girl with girl next door image, Prachi Desai has gone bold for Milan Luthria’s forthcoming film ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai’. It is believed that the actress has done some intimate scenes with co-star Emraan Hashmi.

Apparently the intimate scenes have been shot very aesthetically. Prachi requested the director to keep minimal people on the sets as she was not comfortable shooting the scenes with people staring with eyes wide open. Interestingly, Prachi had refused to do a smooch scene with Tusshar Kapoor during ‘Life Partner’ but it seems the girl is now bored with her shy-coy image with ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai’.

Prachi informs that she was aware of the bed scene in the film and had no qualms. It is also believed that though there are a few love making scenes in the film, Prachi didn’t indulge in onscreen smooch with Emraan, who is Bollywood’s eternal serial kisser! Source

Prachi Desai has teamed up with mentor Ekta Kapoor for Once Upon A Time, in which she plays a don’s wife. Prachi did a lot of homework for the role of a Muslim working class girl in the 1970s, including visiting Muslim localities.

Prachi said she took up the role as she was bored of playing conventional roles. Playing a don’s wife was something she could’nt resist.

The role requires Prachi to look like a Muslim working-class girl in 1975 who gets involved with a don. Prachi along with Ekta has been catching up on all the video footage and hunting for clothes all over to prepare for the role.

She went to the Muslim localities of Mumbai last month, including Haji Ali, to pick up salwar-kameez suits. “This character is from a time that existed before me. Yes, I’ve done plenty of reading on my character. I want to look and feel like Mehjabeen. And it’s such a challenge,” said Prachi. More

Differences seem to have cropped up between the blue-eyed girl from the Balaji camp. Rumours of a clash between Ekta Kapoor and Prachi Desai are spreading. Then came reports of Prachi vowing to never work in Balaji’s Kasam Se, her launch vehicle that brought her to the limelight.

According to reports, all is not well between Ekta and Prachi. Recently, the two were having lunch together with a bunch of common friends and Ekta abruptly walked off. Prachi tried to cajole her back. However, ask Prachi to throw some light on the incident, and she acts ignorant. “I don’t know anything about it. I was surprised when I read this in the papers,” is what the lass had to say.
