When a film brings together the likes of Saurabh Shukla, Vinay Pathak and Neha Dhupia, it is almost certain that there would be Rajat Kapoor  involved as well. This time around he gets into the comical zone by playing a choreographer in PAPPU CAN’T DANCE SAALA.

“And guess what, he is the one who had to do the maximum acting when compared to all of us because ‘Rajat can’t dance saala’”, winks Neha, “In real life he struggles when it comes to dancing and look at the irony here as he is playing a dancer. Frankly, he is by far one of the most comical dancers that I have ever met. Moreover since in the film he is shown as a serious choreographer, it also ends up bringing in a lot of comic relief.”

The film features Vinay Pathak as a pharmacist while Neha plays a backup dancer who hails from a small town. Circumstances bring them together and there is a clash of ideologies, though in its own bitter-sweet way with humour taking centre-stage. With the team coming together all over again, one can almost assume that the quartet of Vinay, Neha, Rajat and Saurabh is pretty much inseparable and keep returning in one or the other combination. Actress Neha Dhupia is now tired of the ‘sexy’ tag, which she believes has worked against her. The former Miss India, who started her Bollywood journey with bold roles in Qayamat and Julie, feels that despite having done some very serious roles, she has not been taken seriously in the industry because of her ‘sexy’ image. “I sincerely believe that the term ‘sexy’ is always used against me,” Dhupia told PTI.

The actress had to work hard to get over the Julie nickname that she earned for herself after a dare bare portrayal of a prostitute in the namesake film in 2004. “No one seems to realise that I can do a lot more. Why don’t people remember Mithya, Singh Is Kinng, Dasvidaniya or a Maharathi?” she questions.

“I strongly believe that my biggest flaw is that I am sexy. Just because of that, it is always safely presumed that I would be busy out there seducing people on screen,” she says.

During the premiere of American mini series IFC’s BOLLYWOOD HERO, guess who was seated next to Neha Dhupia. None other than Hollywood superstar Ed Norton.

A source close to Neha said, ”Neha did not know who was seated next to her during the screening of BOLLYWOOD HERO. She did not recognize him initially.” When Neha looked closely she couldn’t believe her eyes. She kept pinching herself to make sure that it was actually Ed besides her.

”Ed’s presence took her by surprise. He had actually squeezed out time and attended BOLLYWOOD HERO’s premiere,” said our source.

Bollywood actress Neha Dhupia sparked off a frenzy among the US media at the premiere of Independent Film Channel’s 3 part comedy TV series Bollywood Hero in New York.

Dressed in black and brown gown, Dhupia made lensmen’s flashbulbs go pop constantly even as she happily posed for them.

The premiere of Bollywood Hero was held on 4th August at Rubin Museum of Arts and accompanying the former Miss India were the film’s lead man Chris Kattan and costar Pooja Kumar.

Living upto its tag line that says Chris Kattan goes to Bollywood to become a Bollywood star, this comedy venture utterly succeeded in drawing laughs from the invitees. Neha plays Bollywood actress Alima Lakhani who meets Chris and has the most roller-coaster experiences with him in the series.

Bollywood diva Neha Dhupia fainted at the Pow (Prisoner of War) Camp in Vietnam. A friend of the actress said, “Neha travelled to Vietnam recently. It was a holiday trip. Neha had heard a lot about the POW Camp in Vietnam and was curious to know about it.”

Neha visited the camp and was shocked to know about the torture that the people had endured over there. “The truth was so bitter and harsh that Neha just could not digest it. She just fainted on hearing the people’s gruesome stories.

The Julie of bollywood Neha Dhupia says she is a die-hard cricket fan and doesn’t miss even one match of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) these days. 

“I have always been a big sports fan and have been to several cricket matches but IPL is so glamorous. This is the only occasion where we see our Indian players teaming up with various international cricket stars. There are film stars and cheerleaders and there is no stone left unturned to promote the game,” said Neha.

“When the matches are on, I am simply glued to the TV screen and in between if I get any call, I avoid them saying that I am busy in a meeting,” she added. Source
