Minissha Lamba may have seen good appreciation coming her way for WELL DONE ABBA and also carried a nice pay check back home. However, it’s the loss of Rs. 500 that she regrets most while working on the film. Reason being that this amount had a certain prestige attached to it and for Minissha, it was an opportunity of the life time to be bestowed with this honour.
So what transpired actually?
“Well, Shyam (Benegal) Sir has a standing rule in every film of his that whoever contributes with the title is given Rs. 500″, sighs Minissha who was one of the many volunteers who took up the challenge, “This amount has remained just the same for 35 years but most importantly, it is notable for the prestige that it carries with it. It is unmatchable though today, all I can imagine is the kind of high that you can get once Shyam Sir hands you over that amount. I am sure it would be much higher than all the money that you get as remuneration for your job as an actor. Source

This cute little actress made her debut in Bollywood with the film, ‘Yahaan’. After tasting success with her first film, she went on to do other films like Corporate, Honeymoon Travels private ltd, Bachna Ae Haseeno and Kidnap. She went for an image change in the film ‘Kidnap’, with her dare to bare bikini act. However that didn’t help, and to top it, the actress went in for a nose job. Unfortunately it turned to be disaster.

On asking about her college life Minissha Lamba, began with praising her professors.
“We had the most amazing professors in the University. I was a student of English Literature and attending lectures were the most memorable moments of my college life. The English department had the best teachers, there was professor Ila Singh and of course Sharmila Ma’am…”, recalls the ex-Miranda student.
She can, in that way, be labeled as a good student who always listened to her teachers.
“As much as I disliked the idea, at times I had to, for, I was doing a part time job alongside. Acting just happened. I actually aspired to be a journalist,” says the former model. She still likes to wield the pen whenever time allows. Well here is a stunner to all of you. All those longing for some spice on the IIFA front, here’s some interesting dope for you. It’s turning out to be more than just another B- town extravaganza. Amongst the stars ascending the IIFA gala, it is cricketer S Sreesanth who is supposedly there for business, but is mindlessly indulging more in pleasure. The cricketer was spotted playing a love game with petite Minissha Lamba where they indulged in immense public display of affection at the casino bar of the hotel, which is hosting all the guests invited for the function.
‘Delhi-6′ star Sonam Kapoor also walked the ramp for her designer friend Annamika Khanna wearing a red and beige lehenga.
The proceeds of the event will go to the IIFA foundation, which works for the welfare of the workers of Indian film industry. Source

Rensil D’Souza had casted Minissha Lamba in the Dharma Productions project. But things were not good enough between the two, due to which Minissha had to say good bye to the prestigious project.
The actress despite being very enthusiastic about her small yet influential role in the film refused to shoot an intimate scene with co-star Vivek Oberoi. At her refusal Rensil opted to approach the production house for a re-cast. Minissha Lamba who had shot an onscreen kissing sequence with Ranbir Kapoor in Bachna Ae Haseeno refused to do the same with co-star Vivek Oberoi for this project for an unknown reason.
Comments are yet to make rounds from the actress and Rensil in reference to the scene in questions however, the originally casted actresses Tara Sharma did disclose to Mid-Day that such a scene was narrated to her but she had made it very clear that she wouldn’t be comfortable shooting such a sequence to which Rensil’s reply was that he would do his best to work around it as it was not an absolutely necessity to the storyline. Minissha Lamba is in the news once again. After reports of being seen with a mystery guy, Sohail Rathod, the latest on her love life is that she is dating Anant Narayan. Anant is making his debut as an actor in Rajeshwari Dasgupta’s Onirbaan.
On Monday evening, Minissha and Anant were spotted at a suburban coffee shop in Yari Road holding hands. Our source says, “They have often been seen together in Lokhandwala.”
While Minissha refused to comment on her relationship with Anant despite repeated calls and text messages, Anant told us, “I won’t confirm or deny this. Minissha and I go back a long way. We are definitely friends. That’s it.” However, a friend of Anant disclosed, “It is a bit too early for Anant to make an emphatic comment on this.”
Meanwhile, Anant is naturally excited about his debut in the art film, Onirbaan, where he plays the title role. Anant was even rumoured to be making a debut in Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi but that didn’t work out. Source
The sensuous Minissha Lamba opened her Fall/Winter 2009 collection titled “Innocence” at Lakme Fashion Week, Archana Kochhar set the mood for a glamorous line for the audience.
Inspired by Victorian architecture and Indian motifs, Archana created a fusion of lehengas, saris and gowns; with filigree and cutwork that highlighted the garments beautifully. The colour palette wove around five jewel tones of red, coral, electric blue, wine and emerald with a solitary gold sari making a stunning appearance. Georgette, net, silk were transformed into dreamlike creations.
Archana recreated the grandeur of 18th century glamour onto the ramp and left the audience amazed with her elaborate creations and the exquisite workmanship of her craftsmen. Source
Minissha Lamba and Boman Irani have bonded very well at the shooting of the movie ‘Abba Ka Kaun’.
The relationship has become so strong that Minissha now sees a fatherly figure in Boman.
The B-Town diva says “It was one of the most unique relationships I have had with any co-star to date”.
She adds “Literally I adopted Boman as my father while we were off the sets. I would call him Abba all the time and he too would call me by the name of the character I play. The bond between the father and the daughter would be played out post pack up every evening, so much so that when something had to be done, I would take permission from Abba”. Source

The mommy-to-be was paired opposite Vivek Oberoi in the flick but had to back out, following the happy news. A source reveals, “Tara was very excited about working in the Saif-Kareena-Vivek starrer, but on realising she was pregnant, she opted out.
The schedule was to be shot in December in New York but due to technical issues, was postponed to May.Tara is due in July and has been advised not to travel in the last few months of her pregnancy.” So she had a word with Karan and Rensil, who understood her predicament and let her go. Tara confirms, “I’m not doing Rensil’s movie. I was really looking forward to it but I am also looking forward to my motherhood. Source
After playing Mahi in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’ and Sonia Raina in ‘Kidnap‘, Minissha Lamba will soon be seen donning the role of a village belle for Shyam Benegal’s forthcoming film ‘Abba Ka Kaun’, a father daughter story where she plays Boman Iraani’s daughter in the film.
The role is such that in the film she is required to speak in a dialect called Dakini to lend an authentic touch to her character!
Muses the pretty actress, “Considering that I have never been in a village in my life, now I play a character that is village bred!”
Well knowing how thoroughly Minissha prepares for her role, be it the rigorous 8 month training for the fabulous toned body in ‘Kidnap’ or adopting a dialect to give an authentic look, Minissha sure leaves no stone unturned to give the perfect touch! Source
