Working together in director Pradeep Sarkar’s forthcoming film ‘Lafange Parindey’, actress Deepika Padukone has found a friend for life in Neil Nitin Mukesh. Neil once went out of his way to do her make-up personally, which was somewhat different, required for an accident scene.

‘I think I have made a friend for life and I think that’s what I cherished the most because he is a wonderful human being and that comes across on screen. We got along really well,’ said Deepika.

‘There is an accident scene, where I need a different kind of make-up and he is trained in it so he told dada (Pradeep Sarkar) that he will do my make-up and he did. Another day where I was doing…not exactly an action sequence, but lot of cable work and all of that, he choreographed the entire act. So I think in every way he was there for me,’ Deepika told IANS in an interview.

Set in the mean streets of Mumbai, ‘Lafangey Parindey’ is a love story where Neil Nitin Mukesh plays the character of Nandu, a fighter who pummels his opponents in the ring and Deepika Padukone plays Pinky Palkar, a dancer who is blind but ambitious and dances with roller skates on her feet. More

The duo is back again. After attending the Filmfare awards together, actress Lara Dutta and tennis ace Mahesh Bhupathi gave another hint of their relationship by together attending the fashion extravaganza at the ongoing International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) weekend here.

The couple looked very much in love while walking the green carpet Thursday. While Lara looked ravishing in a black and white short dress, Mahesh was dressed in blue jeans and white shirt with a dark blue blazer.

The couple earlier denied reports of their affair, but their recent appearances together have cleared the air regarding their relationship.

Lara, riding high on the success of her recently released film ‘Housefull’, will be comparing at the IIFA Awards main night along with Riteish Deshmukh and Boman Irani. The event is being organized by Wizcraft. Source

It might come as a surprise to many but Lara Dutta is the latest star to join Farhan Akhtar’s Don 2. The actress has been cast alongside Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra and Arjun Rampal — all three who have been retained from its prequel Don.

And though producer Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan are tight-lipped about her role, a source revealed that the actress is touted to play a femme fatale in this slick-flick. However, whether Lara will be seen vying for SRK’s attention alongside Priyanka remains to be seen. A source said, “Lara’s not replacing Eesha (Koppikhar). She’s a completely new addition to the cast with an entirely new part written for her. But yes, the role will require Lara to learn some form of martial arts and she is very kicked about doing an action role.”

For Lara, it may just be a dream come true, as she had not too long ago revealed her wish of doing a hard-core action-oriented role. Incidentally, with Lara and Priyanka on board, the film teams two former Miss Indias (Universe and World, respectively) who had made their debut together in the 2003 Akshay Kumar starrer Andaz.  Source

Lara Dutta and Mahesh Bhupathi have been in a relationship for some time now but it seems that they are serious about taking their relationship to the next level. The couple was spotted at Mahalaxmi temple on Saturday afternoon.

Lara and Mahesh drove down to Mahalaxmi temple in a white Accord. An eyewitness says, “Lara was dressed in a plain white dress and was wearing trendy sunglasses and Mahesh was dressed in denims and a white tee. The couple was busy talking to each other till they entered the main temple.”
“After the darshan they were in the temple for 20 minutes before walking back to their car,” adds the source.
Though Lara and Mahesh have tried to avoid talking to the press about their relationship, they have not shied away from making public appearances together. They made their first public appearance at the Filmfare Awards in February this year.

Lara won’t comment on her personal life,” Lara Dutta’s publicist tells us. It’s quite unlike the Lara we’ve known — forthcoming and open about the men in her life. “Call it anything, maybe a phase. But I won’t comment,” asserts Lara, just back from a trip to the US with her friends.

There are, however, some things that she will talk about. One is her next release Housefull, in which she’s married to Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh. Does she believe in polyandry? “No, it’s illegal. Forget about finding two husbands, I’d be glad if I found one in this lifetime. Getting married once is hard enough, then why would any woman want to do it twice?” she asks. So, why does her character do it? “She comes to London to study and falls in love with a man, whom her father (Boman Irani) can’t stand. I can’t reveal why she has two husbands,” smiles Lara.

Is comedy becoming her comfort zone? “My audiences like me in comedies. It’s a talent I have. If there’s a possibility of doing one great comedy a year by either David Dhawan, Priyadarsan or Sajid Khan, you’d be a fool to turn it down as they’re masters of their craft. But I don’t limit myself to it. I can even do a negative role. I’m more an actor than a star,” she states. More

With the huge success in Wanted, Salman Khan found himself walking the ramp for Italian fashion house Guru. Wearing a casual long-sleeved tee shirt in horizontal blue bands, he walked alongside Lara Dutta, who wore a metallic silver jumpsuit and Taare Zameen Par child star Darsheel Safary. Not used to the ramp, he said, “I have been acting for the past twenty years, but walking on the ramp is difficult. Because when you are walking people are looking at you and a person become self-conscious.”

Salman and Lara had both been attending MMTC’s Festival of Gold in Delhi which runs until October 1st. “I am very excited to be at MMTC’s Festival of Gold,” Salman commented, “It is a great occasion to see some of the finest jewellery on display. Necklace and tops are two of my favourite pieces of jewellery. I am buying them at Festival of Gold for my mother, sister and girlfriend.”

Lara, meanwhile, is hoping for some golden success herself, over the next couple of weeks with both Blue and Do Knot Disturb being released around Diwali. “My next film after Do Knot Disturb, Blue is releasing just a day before Diwali, so I’m hoping that it does well and my Diwali becomes a bumper Diwali,” she explained.
