Contrary to popular misconception, DANGEROUS ISHQ wasn’t originally designed as a ‘comeback vehicle’ of Karisma Kapoor. The film’s script was written well in advance without keeping any particular actress in mind. Later it was pretty much a ‘luck by chance’ moment for both Vikram Bhatt and the actress that the two ended up collaborating with each other.

“I think everything is just about timing,” says Vikram, “Karisma was at that stage in her life where she had decided to do a film. She was willing to give Bollywood a shot and looking for the right script. This was the time when I and my team were sitting with the casting director and Karisma’s name popped up. Yes, we were a little doubtful if she would do it but then the consensus was that she would be fabulous in doing a film like DANGEROUS ISHQ. We thought that what would be wrong in asking and who knows, she may just choose to do it. Once we met, everything fell in place and rest, as they say, is history.” More

Karisma Kapoor, who is known for her exceptional dancing prowess, is geared up to perform an item number in Akshay Kumar’s upcoming flick ROWDY RATHORE.

According to reports, the song will be choreographed by Prabhu Deva. Apparently, South actor Nasser and Bollywood superstar Akshay will also be a part of the song. Karisma is expected to enthrall the audience with her sizzling moves in the song.

Directed by Prabhu Deva and produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film features Akshay Kumar in a double role and Sonakshi Sinha as the leading lady. Source

Actress Hema Malini is certain that Karishma Kapoor, who is said to be reprising her role in the remake of her 1982 film “Satte Pe Satta”, would be able to justify her character.

“Karishma is a fantastic actor. She would definitely portray the character well in the remake of the film,” Hema told reporters after the Scintillating Jewellery show on the second day of India International Jewellery Week (IIJW) in Mumbai, where she was the showstopper.

Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt has apparently convinced actress Karisma Kapoor to make a comeback with his slick 3D thriller Dangerous Ishq.

Said a source close to the project, “Vikram has met Karisma several times. She loves the script of Dangerous Ishq. It has an author-backed role for her with many shades. Just the kind of character she has been looking for.”

“She has made up her mind to do the film,” the source added.

Kareena and Karisma Kapoor celebrated their dad Randhir’s birthday at a lounge bar in Bandra. Their mom Babita was missing but the rest of the Kapoor clan was in attendance. There were the Kapoor brothers Rishi and Rajiv with their wives, and Rima Jain with her husband Manoj. Even Ranbir Kapoor was part of this impromptu party (see pic alongside) organised by Rima for her older brother.

Kareena took special permission from Karan Johar, her producer, to take leave from the shooting of Short Term Shaadi to attend her dad’s birthday bash. “The venue Bungalow 9 was chosen as B-town celebrities don’t frequent it.

The Kapoors didn’t want to bump into anyone at their private do. Kareena was to shoot till midnight but when her aunt Rima called her, she requested director Shakun Batra to relieve her early and she joined the party. Bebo has an annual tradition. She takes her dad out for a birthday lunch every year.

Says an insider, “Randhir’s face lit up when he saw his two daughters and Ranbir  drop in to wish him.” There were no gifts for Dabboo (Randhir’s pet name) as it’s been a strict rule  followed by the Kapoor clan for years. He doesn’t like gifts on his janamdin, and has told everyone to respect his wishes. Even his children Kareena and Karisma stick to the no-gift policy. Source

Karisma and her hubby Sanjay Kapur are at war again. The couple, that has had a troubled marriage from the very time they tied the knot in 2003, is all set to part ways once and for all. After initial reports of a split between the two died down, reports now suggest that the Kapoor lass might be filing for divorce rather very soon. And it’s all owing to Sanjay’s womanizing ways.

The actress is reportedly giving a very serious consideration to divorce on grounds of irreconcilable differences with her hubby. Confirming the news, a source said, “If she has not yet filed it yet, it would be any moment now.”

It’s after much deliberation with her family and friends that the actress has decided to part ways from Sanjay. “The time has come for Karisma to emerge from a bad marriage. She is terribly distraught and very stressed. She has virtually become a loner,” adds the source.

Sanjay Kapur and Karisma married in September 2003. Their first child was born in 2005, their second only in March this year. “Even when Karisma was pregnant with her second child, Sanjay was in the company of some girl. After she delivered her second baby, a son, he started getting cozy with a Delhi socialite,” says the source. More

Bollywood actress Karisma Kapur, who flagged off an oral health care camp for children in the capital, says as a child she was scared of dentists.

“I was very scared of going to a dentist. But thanks to my parents, they pushed me to keep my teeth clean and inculcated the habit of brushing my teeth twice a day. I’m trying to give the same lesson to my kids also,” Karisma told reporters on Tuesday.

“The enthusiasm of the children, the dentists and everyone present here is testimony to the seriousness of the initiative. I would like to urge the people to make the most of the various facilities available as part of the Oral Health Month across the country,” said 36-year-old who is a mother of two kids.

The oral health camp, an initiative by the Indian Dental Association and a popular dental brand, is a part of the Oral Health Month being observed across the country.

It is also an attempt to create a Guinness World Records by conducting the maximum dental check-ups in one day at over 10 different locations across two metros – New Delhi and Chennai. Source

Karisma Kapoor became mother of the two children but her marital problem with husband Sanjay Kapoor still persists. Recently, Karisma Kapoor gave birth to a baby boy and Babita went to stay with Karisma to look after her two children post delivery so that she could get some rest. During her stay, she could smell the major problem between them. Babita could measure the problem of her daughter.

Karisma and Sanjay are staying in two different cities and hardly visit each other. Sanjay spend most of the time in Delhi and Karsima moved to Mumbai. Babita urged Karisma to talk to Sanjay over phone and solve the issue.

The couple is said to have long conversation over phone and finally they settled their difference. They have decided to give another chance to their marriage and start in a fresh way. To mend the differences, Sanjay is now spending more time with Karisma and his two children. He has even decided to take his family for a vacation.

Saif’s concern and guilt for the sisters not being together on that very special day is heightened by the fact that Kareena would be shooting for his film Agent Vinod in Morocco on Karisma’s birthday. Kareena rules out that possibility of Karisma flying down to Morocco “How can my sister fly down to Morocco? No, she’ll be in Mumbai with her baby. She has just had a baby boy who’s not even four months old. She can’t leave the city.”

Interestingly Kareena seems to handle her absence from this important day in her sister with much pragmatism and common sense. “How can I be in Mumbai? I’ll be shooting in Tangiers in Morocco on my sister’s birthday. Work always comes first in our family.So there would be no birthday plans with my sister this year.” More

Karisma Kapoor dressed in a bright red shirt, with kohl-lined eyes, huge solitaries blazing her ears, ordering herself a fancy meal at a new hip roadside cafe on Pali Hill. Lolo had stepped out alone, yes, minus her two kids and her husband Sanjay Kapur. Her intention was simple — to spoil herself silly. As the rain poured down hard outside, Lolo decided to dig into a meal of her choice.

The reason this actress, who is usually very careful with what she eats, was eating to her heart’s content is because she goes into a strict diet for the next 11 days. On June 25, when Lolo turns 36, she wants to get into the designer outfit her younger sister Kareena has ordered for her.

While Lolo was dining alone at her favourite food joint, Bebo who is shooting Golmaal-3 in Hyderabad, was sulking. “God I’m missing Mumbai and I’m missing spending time with Lolo and my nephew,” she said.

Bebo who calls Karisma her size zero inspiration, had a surprise revelation to make. “For once, things are the exact opposite for the two of us. Lolo is trying to lose her post-natal fat; and I’m trying to put on a little weight. I want to be perfectly rounded. I’m bored of being too thin. And I actually enjoy eating at this neighbourhood cafe where you bumped into Lolo.”  Source
