Last week Karan Johar played the catalyst, making Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor not only acknowledge each other’s presence but actually strike up a conversation, and a pretty warm one at that. The venue for this patch up was Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow, Mannat, where King Khan had hosted a celebration for My Name Is Khan. Says a source, “Shahid and Kareena came face to face and everyone thought they would simply ignore each other like they have on so many occasions in the past. But this time, Karan happened to be present right there and instead of marching past each other, they slowed down for a bit. And the rest, as they say, is history.”

Even after the ice was broken, neither Shahid or Kareena seemed in a rush to get back to more comfortable company. They had a pretty warm exchange and a little later even Saif, who was present at the party, joined them.

“Shahid and Kareena have finally decided to leave their acrimonious past behind them. This was very evident in the manner all three of them - Shahid, Kareena and Saif - interacted with each other at Shah Rukh’s party,” adds our source. While both Shahid and Kareena could not be reached for comment, Kareena’s official spokesperson said, “Kareena has no problem with anybody, including Shahid.” For the record, Shahid and Kareena, who were in a serious relationship for three years, parted ways in 2007, a few days before Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met hit the theatres.  Source

Kareena Kapoor & Saif Ali Khan are the topmost couple of bollywood with possibly maximum number of rumours to their credit. This is not the first time that the media has got them married, but what irked Bebo more was that there were reports that the two had a formal engagement in the presence of a maulvi on February 6 at the Chote Nawab’s house in Bandra.

Saif is said to have gifted her the 7-series model of a new car. An angry Bebo shot back, “Enough is enough, please leave us alone. These rumours are rubbish and we don’t have any plans of getting married till the next five years.”

At a recently concluded award ceremony, ex-lovers Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were up against each other and their petty antics only proved the reason for their parting ways. Both Kareena and Shahid were at opposing ends, as both demanded the organisers to perform after the other. Shahid insisted that he wanted to perform after Kareena as he had given more hits last year and Kareena maintained that she was a bigger star, and should get to perform after Shahid. After a lot of struggle, the organisers managed to coax Shahid and let Kareena have her way and perform after him.

This didn’t end here. Currently dating Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor was seen taking a keen interest into what Shahid was wearing all throughout the event. Sporting a nerd look, he also donned a pair of glasses, something that didn’t cut a smart figure in Kareena’s eye. Not that she was used to it in old days, we guess!

Keeping a close watch on the ‘Kaminey’ star, she commented on Shahid’s nerdy look and said he was not looking good with the glasses. The actress made sure she watched his full act from backstage. Source

Kareena Kapoor- the size zero actress finally agrees that a few curves definitely don’t hurt. But unfortunately, no one seems to have asked beau Saif Ali Khan. Apparently the Chote Nawab strongly subscribes to leaner-the-better school of thought. And let’s not forget, the romance between Bebo and Saif had blossomed on the sets of Tashan, when she was almost threatening to slip from size zero to practically negative territory.

So convinced is Saif that his girlfriend’s slimmer version was better, he’s not refraining from pressing his case with Kareena. Recently, both stars were present to perform at Chitrakoot Grounds in Andheri. “They had separate items. First Saif performed and then it was Kareena’s turn. But Saif stayed backstage all through Kareena’s dance. Immediately after, as she was making her way backstage, Saif got up to applaud her. But as the couple made their way out together, he couldn’t resist telling her, “I think you need to lose some weight, yaar.”

It may be a private joke between the couple, because Kareena seemed to take it pretty sportingly. Bebo countered, “I am happy to have gained a bit. Don’t you think I needed to?” Source

Kareena Kapoor has been signed for a whopping Rs 7 crore by Shree Ashtavinayak Cine Vision Ltd for their next, Golmaal 3, directed by Rohit Shetty. A source says, “Kareena hasn’t given any hit last year except 3 Idiots and has raised many eyebrows for being signed for the exorbitant amount. While Bollywood actors are slashing their prices to cope with the recession, it is surprising how much the industry is paying the actresses. Even A-list actors are not being offered such a huge amount.”

It is learnt that Kareena will be the only heroine in the film as she has made it very clear that she does not want to work in multi-heroine projects. And why not? After the success of Jab We Met and the critical acclaim she received, Kareena’s career graph rose.

Reportedly she was paid Rs 2.5 crore for Kambakkht Ishq and little more for Golmaal 2. The source continues, “After Golmaal 2 proved to be a hit, director Rohit Shetty only wanted Kareena in the film and convinced the producers to sign her. Moreover, the Kapoor lass has never been a part of sequels, so to make her sign this film, she was offered and signed for a huge amount.” Source

Kareena Kapoor is highly disgusted now. She might have been the first size-zero actress, who has some good performances to her credit but this fact does not seem to stop gossipmongers from pitting Kareena against Katrina. And this constant comparison between the two sizzlers has become a big worry for Bebo.

The two have been compared for long but Kareena’s outburst happened after an article declared both actresses to be at par for their films in 2010. Confirming the news, a daily quoted a source as saying, “Bebo has been around for years and she has done tons of performance-oriented films. Her body of work is different. How can you compare them?”

From the hot quotient to their acting skills, Kareena and Katrina, are the only two actresses who have been locking horns for the top spot for long now. And it’s not only Kareena who detests the comparisons, Kat too has flaked the media for pitting her against other B-town ladies.

Well, looks like there are more similarities between the two beauties than Bebo would like to accept. Source

Kareena Kapoor said in an interview that Ranbir is a great actor but there is no chance of casting opposite him as they share a brother-sister relationship. 

In a new film to be directed by Imtiaz Ali, at first Kareena was decided opposite Ranbir but later Ashtavinayak Productions dropped the idea considering the relationship that they share. But Bebo was not totally dropped from the film, if not Ranbir, she will be paired opposite another heartthrob of Bollywood Imran Khan.

Ever since the two went public with their affair Saifeena have been hounded by the paparazzi on their plans regarding marriage. Apparently, fanning the rumors of an early wedding, Saif’s mom Sharmila Tagore speaking to the media said, “I don’t have any objection to their marriage and they will soon wed.”

Sending media into frenzy, this affirmation, came from Sharmila on the occasion of the Censor Board of Film Certification meeting which was held at Jodhpur, India. Although, the couple has said time-and-again that they don’t have any intention of getting married soon, as their career is much more important than the marriage. However, Sharmila Tagore’s statement clearly indicates that something is surely brewing between the lovey-dovey couple and they might have changed their mind and decided to tie the knot.

Currently, Saif and Kareena are doing great professionally and have big projects in their kitty; therefore marriage is still a long shot, but mother-in-law Sharmila seems to believe otherwise! Source

We all know about the fact that Shashi Kapoor has romanced both his brother Raj’s daughters-in-law — Babita Shivdasani-Kapoor in Haseena Man Jayegi in 1968 and Neetu Singh-Kapoor in Deewar in 1975, and Randhir Kapoor has also romanced his sister-in-law (bhabhi) Neetu Singh in a couple of movies like Rickshawalla in 1973 and Kasme Vaade and Heeralal Pannalal in 1978. By sheer virtue of the fact that all the Kapoor family members have ruled the roost at some time or the other, filmmakers couldn’t help but cast them in the romantic lead opposite each other.

The same dilemma has come back to haunt two major filmmakers now. Rumours have it that Sajid Nadiadwala, who is making his next film Anjaana Anjaani with Bollywood’s current heart-throb Ranbir and Priyanka Chopra, was heard telling an insider from the Kareena Kapoor camp that he would have ideally liked to work with Bebo and Ranbir. But, of course, since they are first cousins the pair would get audience rejection.

It is also reported that the Mehtas of Ashtavinayak will go on the floors with their film directed by Imtiaz Ali with Ranbir on April 1, 2010. Actually Kareena has donned the get-up of Spider Woman (or rather should we say posing like spiderman) for an Italian watch brand (Chronotech), of which she recently became a Brand Ambassador, as a part of string of advertisement campaigns.

Just a month ago when this international brand was being launched in India, Kareena had sported the look of a Cat Woman and that of mermaid for the Ad. Source
