An Economics graduate from Massachusetts, Ameesha Patel started her career with two blockbusters KAHO NAA PYAAR HAI and GADAR – EK PREM KATHA, both being quintessential masala affairs. Now that she is turning producer by making a film each with Priyadarshan and David Dhawan, she is sure that entertainment would be the key word for these productions as well. She also reaffirms that none of her newer ventures would be frivolous by any means.

“Films that I am making with David (Dhawan) and Priyan would boast of a certain standard; there would be an educated class to it. I think now is the best opportunity for me to fuse my education and upbringing. Also, there would be good budget set aside for both these films. If I am getting into the production arena, it better be a classy and grand affair; there won’t be any cutting corners here,” says Ameesha.

While it is believed that both her films would be reasonably expensive affairs, Ameesha states that there is no hard and bound rule that she has set for herself for the future projects that she would undertake. More

Ameesha Patel is happy that with Sanjay Dutt starrer ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’, she would be seen on the big screen again after ‘Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic’. However one still can’t deny the fact that original plan for ‘Chatur Singh…’ was to release at least two years ago. Isn’t she worried about the delay?

“See, first and foremost this wasn’t something that any of us had planned. There was delay in production that further led to release date getting pushed. However does this mean that is dated? No, not at all as its look as well as the music too are very contemporary. Moreover the story is such that it would have worked 10 years ago or even 10 years down the line. No, I am not worried or depressed at all. On the contrary I am really excited about the film’s release now since it has shaped up so fantastic,” says Ameesha in a confident tone. More

Ameesha Patel’s comic sense is what that has led to the formation of ‘Chatur Singh Two Star’, her newest film where she is paired opposite Sanjay Dutt.

“This is one movie which is full of idiotic jokes. I am playing a complete goof here and trust me there was not a drop of glycerine that was needed since the only tears that were rolling down were those of laughter. The film is really funny and I sincerely believe that when people can like stuff like ‘Ready’, they would give a Thumbs-Up to ‘Chatur…’ too,” says Ameesha.

“And trust me, the character of ‘Chatur Singh’ that Sanju plays in the film is such that it would be a riot on screen,” promises Ameesha, “Though he is a complete idiot in the film, he thinks that he very smart. He plays a spy in the film and even though he is convinced within his own self that he is quite bright, the fact is that he is a complete buffoon.” More

Ameesha Patel is leaving no stone unturned to make sure her production house gets the best of directors on board. After signing David Dhawan to direct the first film for Ameesha Patel Productions, the actress turned producer has now signed Priyadarshan to direct the second film for her banner. Needless to say, Ameesha will be playing the lead role in both these films while the rest of the cast is yet to be announced.

It may be recalled that Ameesha had worked with David earlier in Yeh Hai Jalwa and with Priyadarshan in Bhool Bhulaiya. Both the films made under Ameesha Patel Productions will be family entertainers and will go on floors by the year end.

Amisha Patel and Kangna Ranaut are still not involved in a cat fight. Especially so since post Kangana’s close liaison with Sanjay Dutt, the KAHO NA PYAAR HAI girl has flashed her “I am closer to Manyata” card time and again. So while Kangna has continued to extend her professional alliance with Sanju by doing close to half a dozen films with him already, Amisha gradually found herself left far behind in the race.

It might surprise you but Ameesha Patel posted a picture of Manyata and Sanjay Dutt’s baby Iqra on Twitter without the Dutt’s permission. She probably wasn’t thinking. But the actor must have never thought that this careless trick might cost her only friends in the industry.

Her best pal and mom Manyata didn’t much appreciate the move as the Dutts were not planning to publicise their twins to the world any time soon. Ameesha, apparently, never sought permission from Mommy Manyata, which has ticked her off.

Baby Iqra’s picture was lapped up by several tabloid websites just moments after Ameesha posted it on her Twitter page. “Magazines have been calling for the baby pics, but Dutts never wanted to give any pictures,” a source told. More

Amisha Patel is the latest Bollywood actress to branch out into the world of producing. She will follow in the footsteps of actresses Sushmita Sen, Dia Mirza and Lara Dutta who all have launched production houses.

A source close to the actress told the media that “Amisha has a lot of interesting content which she wants to convert into films.” The source went onto say that soon the actress will be ‘appointing a team full of promising and accomplished directors to start making movies for her’.

Amisha held the launch party of her production house, Amisha Patel Productions, at Aurus Pup in Juhu, Mumbai on Saturday 23rd April. Rishi Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Sussanne Roshan and Rakesh Roshan were just some of the stars that attended the party.

The yellow bikini actress Amisha Patel posed topless on a men’s magazine, ‘The Man’, in a desperate bid to attract the attention of Bollywood and make a comeback. The out-of-work actress, who has almost faded away from public memory, looks over made-up in the picture.
 
According to reports, this is not the first time that the busty lady has gone topless, earlier it was for Daboo Ratnani calendar of the year 2009, where she posed topless with only a pillow covering her assets. The actress was even seen flaunting her cleavage for the magazine ‘Man’s World’.

Ameesha Patel is again in the news for all wrong reasons. She lost her temperament over her elderly driver and it is reported that she slapped him out of anger. It so happened that she parked her car outside her gym and on coming out she found a small scratch on the body of her car. With this small incident, she outraged and repotedly slapped her 50 yr old chauffer.

Narrating the incident, a passerby said, “Ameesha’s new car was parked outside the gym. When she emerged after her workout, she saw a tiny scratch on the side of her car, and flipped out. She started hurling abuses at the driver and kept asking him for an explanation. When he couldn’t come up with an answer, she slapped him hard across his cheek.”

This is not the first time Ameesha showed her bad temperament to her driver. A source close to the actress adds, “Ameesha has had problems with her driver for a long time. Recently he almost banged the car and even took her to the wrong address. He has a slight eyesight problem and despite her telling him to wear glasses he refuses to do so. More

This one is not a common site. She’s shaken and stirred… with fear. Ameesha Patel stared disaster in the face after a geep rammed into her car on the Mumbai Pune express highway! And Patel, bruised and quaking with fear, was still thankful coz’ she’d escaped a fatal accident.

Reportedly, Patel accompanied by her grandmother, was coming back to Mumbai from Pune where she’d gone for an event, when the accident took place at around 7 p.m.

Says a close source, “Fortunately, her driver had quick reflexes and controlled the car before it could jump the divider. Ameesha got off at the nearest fuel station, put ice on her injured forehead, had a cup of coffee and was then able to calm herself down a bit. Her car has suffered the worst damage; all the four tyres were ripped and had to be changed.” Source
