Star son Vivek Oberoi is going to tie the knot soon. The girl in question is Priyanka Alva, daughter of Karnataka Minister and Senior Janata Dal leader Jeevaraj Alwa and social worker Mrs. Nandini Alwa. The wedding date has been fixed. It is on October 29. The engagement will take place in the first week of September. Priyanka Alva’s parents confirms the news of her daughter’s wedding with the actor.

Priyanka is a business management graduate from London. She is also a popular dancer and takes interest in protecting ecology and animals. Like Abhishek Bachchan, Vivek Oberoi is also going to become son-in-law of Bunt community, a coastal belt of Karnataka. Shilpa Shetty also belongs to the same area.

Vivek Oberoi has been linked to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the past. He was also engaged to model Gurpreet but unfortunately, they broke up. He was also rumored for having an affair with actors like Niru Bajwa and Jacqueline Fernandez.

Recently at the IIFA Awards the entire industry got together and decided that since Salman Khan was in the vicinity, they were going to collaboratively avoid Vivek Oberoi. It has been eons since Salman and Vivek found themselves at war with one another with regards to Aishwarya Rai. Recently during the Colombo hosted IIFA Award weekend, a number of stars steered away from Vivek including normally good friends Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan. According to sources, “A lot of stars present at the after party were avoiding Vivek. But it was surprising to see that even Saif and Kareena maintained their distance, because they are good friends with him.” The stars believed that it wouldn’t be a good idea to be caught or seen chatting and mingling with Vivek. “Salman himself didn’t say a word or even look in Vivek’s direction, but the cold vibes were apparent,” the source added.

While Saifeena didn’t completely avoid Vivek, they chose not to hang out with him. An anonymous informant at the event said, “It was very apparent that Saif and Kareena were avoiding Vivek. After so many fights and dramas there is finally a good news in bollywood. It seems that Sanjay Dutt has finally forgiven Bollywood’s jinxed actor Vivek Oberoi for his unceremonious remarks against his wife Manyata, as the former was seen hugging Vivek in public.
 
It is believed that the cold war between Sanjay and Vivek started almost four years ago, when Vivek made nasty comments against Manyata Dutt, whom Sanjay had just begun dating. However, Vivek’s curt remarks enraged Sanjay to such an extent that the latter cut off all his ties with the erring star.

Talking to a daily, a source said, “It was quite a shock to see Sanjay walk up to Vivek and give him a hug. Sanjay’s gesture was quite sweet, and Vivek too returned him a big hug. It looked like one big happy family once again.”

Meanwhile, a source close to Vivek confirmed the news and said, “Vivek is very touched by this magnanimous gesture of Sanju. In the past, he had sent SMSs to clear the misunderstanding, but Sanjay seemed very upset with him then. Now that everything is sorted, Vivek is happy to revive his old friendship with Dutt.” More

It might be a past but Vivek Oberoi is still scared to cross paths with Salman Khan. Believe it or not but in a recent incident, Vivek Oberoi locked himself in his vanity van for as long as 75 minutes just to avoid coming face to face with Salman Khan. And the actor only emerged from his hiding place once Salman left the shooting venue.

According to sources, Vivek had just finished performing for a show and retreated to his van to change before leaving. Salman also showed up at the venue and was seen chatting with his friends just a few metres away before going on stage for the grand finale. On spotting Salman, Vivek’s pals rushed to his van to tell him about the actor’s presence. And that’s when Vivek decided to lock himself up in his van. Even though he was in a hurry to go partying with his friends but for over an hour the actor was put in his van just so that he doesn’t cross Salman’s way.

Confirming the news, a source said, “Only when Salman left to perform did Vivek emerge from his van. The prince, Vivek Oberoi is extremely excited after meeting spiritual leader Dalai Lama at an inter-faith conference at Rishikesh Saturday. “So honoured and excited to meet and receive grace and blessings of so many spiritual leaders of all religions! Most excited about meeting His Highness Dalai Lama!” Vivek posted on his Twitter page.

“Am in the midst of pure divinity by the banks of the holy Ganga, basking in the infectious laughter of HH Dalai lama, blessings of Morari Bapu, the august presence of Baba Ramdev and hundreds of saints from all religions coming together for the root of all religions - love and peace,” the 33-year-old added.

The actor was in New Delhi early morning before he drove to Rishikesh for the inter-faith conference, where all religious and spiritual leaders have come together to promote peace.

“Hats off to Swami Chidanand Saraswati of Inter-Faith organisation for bringing together leaders from Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism, Islam, Christianity and Hinduism,” Vivek posted. Source

Our reliable sources reveal that during the shooting of Kookie Gulati’s ‘Prince’, actor Vivek Oberoi came close to his leading lady Aruna Shields and the crew members are the witness of their closeness. They got closer after an intimate kissing scene. After the shot, the intimacy between them got stronger and they were very often spotted on and off the set.

Vivek Oberoi’s closeness was also seen with another co-star Neeru Bajwa but he was more intimate with Aruna.
