Tusshar Kapoor On His Upcoming Film ‘Hum Tum Shabana’

There is immense competition building for HUM TUM SHABANA both on as well as off the screen.

While Minissha Lamba is the leading lady of the film as she plays the central role of Shabana, even Pia Trivedi has popped out of nowhere.

One wonder what does man of the moment, Tusshar Kapoor, have to say about the brewing competition.

“Well, I don’t know about the off screen competition but on screen it is pretty interesting actually,” smiles Tusshar, “Yes, Pia is in a very-very important role. In the game of chess where Shreyas and I are trying to catch hold of Minissha, it is Pia who turns out to be an important mohra.” More

Tusshar Kapoor Is Planning To Become A Producer

Its been a busy year for Tusshar Kapoor. He has enjoyed two releases already and though LOVE U… MR. KALAKAAR! didn’t quite set the cash registers ringing, there was good critical appreciation that came in for SHOR IN THE CITY. Now he is gearing up for the September release of HUM TUM SHABANA.

One wonders though where he is on the production plans. After all it wasn’t too long ago that he was planning to turn a producer.

With sister Ekta seeing good success coming her way as a producer, what with her strategy of mixing low (RAGINI MMS), medium (THE DIRTY PICTURE) as well as high budget (ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI – 2) films well, is he looking forward to going independent as well? More

Shor – Tusshar Kapoor’s Upcoming Film

The versatile actor Tusshar Kapoor usually comes across as a calm personality, but recently he lost his cool in regards to his pet project, his upcoming edgy black comedy SHOR – IN THE CITY.

He, who has personally looked into all the minute details of the film had even suggested Radhika Apte’s name to the director duo Rajnidimoru and Krishna DK to cast her in the lead opposite him. But with his belief in numerology, the name of the film which is SHOR has wrongly been written about in the media as SHORR. This has got him really furious and he has requested all to stick to the original spelling SHOR.

With the name game, and the power house of talent that he is, we are sure that the film will surely make some noise on the Box-office. Source

Tusshar Kapoor Speaks For Govinda

Bollywood actor Tusshar Kapoor has a lot of regard for his seniors in his industry and wouldn’t think twice about telling off who showed disrespect to them. He talks about a recent shooting for Neeraj Vora’s Run Bhola Run in Film City where he, Govinda, Ameesha Patel and Celina Jaitley were in a jeep. “A group of four young NRIs passed by in a jeep making some derogatory remarks about Govindaji.

I totally lost my cool and gave the guys a piece of my mind,” says Tusshar. The actor sounded them off and told them to go back to finishing school. “It’s very difficult for actors to stand up for themselves. As people from the same fraternity, I feel that we should help each other,” says Tusshar. Source

Tusshar Kapoor Books A Honeymoon Suite For Close Friend

Tusshar Kapoor is a real true friend. A source close to Tusshar said, “A very dear friend of Tusshar got married recently.

Before tying the knot, the friend had told Tusshar that he wished to honeymoon in Cape Town. He told Tusshar how he loved Cape Town when he watched the film. He also told him that he wanted to be put up in the same hotel that Tusshar had stayed in.”

And guess what Tusshar got that very same suite in the hotel booked for his friend as a gift.

“Tusshar’s gift took his friend by surprise. His friend is looking forward to spending romantic moments with his wife in the hotel in Cape Town,” said the source. Source

Kareena & Tusshar Kapoor On A Late Night Dinner

Our sources have witnessed a pretty cute outing by two of the oldest dosts Kareena Kapoor and Tusshar Kapoor. The two Kapoors were spotted  entering in a well-known restaurant café in the suburbs for a late night dinner.

Of course we were delighted to see the duo. And they were obviously as thrilled to see us. Kareena looked ravishing in a crisp white salwar-kurta and couldn’t stop talking nineteen-to-the-dozen about what was going on in her life.

It was almost better than the dessert we’d just had. We must say we came away impressed at this enduring friendship. At least now we know that when the gorgeous Bebo calls you a friend, she means it! Source

Tusshar Kapoor – All Set For His “Life Partner”

Abbas-Mustan’s Rumi Jaffery directed ‘Life Partner, is a fun entertainer which stars Govinda, Tusshar Kapoor and Fardeen Khan as the male leads. Playing thick friends in the film, the trio is seen to be having distinct views about the institution of marriage.

Even though he along with Govinda carry an image of being primarily comic stars, Tusshar insists that ‘Life Partner’ is not a regular comedy film in the offering. “Instead I would want to call it as a ‘romantic musical social entertainer’ with a touch of comedy to it”, says Tusshar,

For Tusshar, ‘Life Partner’ would be his next release after a super successful ‘Golmaal Returns’ that had released last year. Even though this film too follows a pucca commercial route, Tusshar asserts that the film has ample moments that would be pretty much identifiable for the common man. Source

Bollywood Celebrating Holi In Its own Style

As already reported bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan stayed away from Holi celebrations and so did others for various reasons. A sneak peek at how the Bollywood stars spent the day.

Amitabh Bachchan: ‘Nothing! We’re celebrating no Holi this year. Yes, I know our home is an open house on Holi every year. Hopefully we’ll be back to celebrating Holi next year. ‘This year too many tragic events have happened around us. On a personal level, my father’s passing away then my mother’s prolonged illness have suspended Holi celebrations in my house. And then, of course, the things that are happening in Mumbai city and the country. Do you think anyone is in the mood for celebration? We’re not. Maybe next year.’

Preity Zinta: ‘What am I doing for Holi? Nothing. Sleeping the whole day. Recovering from my jet lag after my trip to New Zealand. In any case, I think Holi has lost its original spirit long back.’

Deepika Padukone: ‘I’ll have the day off. I’ll celebrate with my family and close friends.’

Farhan Akhtar: ‘For the time in living memory I won’t be home for Holi. I’ll be shooting abroad. It breaks my heart to miss Holi. Can’t be helped.’

Bipasha Basu: ‘I’ve no Holi plans. I’m allergic to the abeer and other Holi colours. I’ll spend Holi with my family, devouring Holi delicacies. It’s a diet-free day for me.’

Abhishek Bachchan: ‘I’ll be shooting. No Holi this year at home. Just work.’

Genelia D’Souza: ‘I’ll be shooting In Delhi on Holi.’

Hurman S. Baweja: ‘I’ll be shooting in Delhi for ‘It’s My Life’. I think my lightmen, camera crew, director and co-stars will be my Holi victims. Watch out, here I come.’

Himesh Reshammiya: ‘As always I prefer to work on auspicious days. I’ll be recording a new song for ‘Ishq Unplugged’ on Holi.’

Urmila Matondkar: ‘I’m not much of a Holi person. I’ll be chilling at home watching some good movies and hoping no one gets rowdy with women who have to step out of their homes.’

Celina Jaitley: ‘This Holi I’m in Hyderabad. I’ll be spending it with the cast and crew.’

Tusshar Kapoor: ‘I’ll be meeting up with my friends for lunch and not playing Holi, since I stopped doing that long ago.’ Source

Tushar Kapoor To Play A Gujju Bhai In His Next Flick

After keeping mum in Golmaal Returns, Tusshar Kapoor finally speaks up. He
will now be seen as a typical ‘Gujju Bhai’ in Rumi Jaffrey’s Life Partner.
"Yes…I am playing a typical ‘Gujju’ character called Bhavesh in my next film
Life Partner. He comes from a very traditional Gujarati joint family. My
character is based in South Africa and the story revolves around how this guy
comes to India to get hitched via an arranged marriage", says Tusshar

For the first time in his career, Tusshar would be seen sporting a moustache and
playing a married guy. "Yes I get married mid-way through the film. As for the
moustache, Rumi Jaffrey had a certain vision for the character and this is how
he wanted it to be. Manish Malhotra has done my styling in the film", reveals
Tusshar

Life Partner has Tusshar paired opposite Prachi Desai who recently made a
stunning debut in Rock On. Besides the duo, the film also stars Govinda, Fardeen
Khan
and Genelia D’Souza in lead roles. Shooting for this film (produced by
Abbas-Mustan and directed by Rumi Jaffrey) is almost complete and the film
should hit screens in the summer of 2009. Source
