This is something exciting. After flaunting his six-pack abs in Dabangg, Sonu Sood dons a new look which seems to be modelled on the styles popularised in the 1950s and 1960s, for the action-thriller Maximum.
Sonu who played a cop in Bbuddah…Hoga Terra Baap, will once again be seen as a police officer in director Kabir Kaushik’s underworld drama, which also stars Tabu and Naseeruddin Shah.
The actor posted a picture revealing his new look on social networking site Twitter. The picture shows him sporting a mustache and a side parting with neatly combed hair. This look is indeed different from the way he actually looks. Source
Everyone is aware that Mr. Bachchan is returning as an angry man, albeit a lot older, in BBUDDAH-HOGA TERA BAAP. What is not known though is that the film also recreates a scene from ZANJEER.
“Just like Pran was thrown out by Bachchan in ZANJEER, Sonu Sood (who plays a cop) turns the table around by doing the same for Bachchan here. What remains constant though is the elan and dignity with which the senior actors were treated then as well as today,” informs a source. More
At the success party of Dabangg, Salman Khan graciously removed his Being Human watch and gave it to Sonu Sood. Sallu was impressed with Sonu’s performance and wanted to give him a gift. Now Sonu has returned the favour by gifting Salman a high-end Vertu mobile costing around Rs 4 lakh. A source reveals, “Sonu wanted to gift Salman something for a long time. He didn’t know what to buy him till some one suggested a mobile phone.
Sonu thought of getting him the best in phones and hence got him a Vertu. The phone is one of the high end models of the brand and Salman was extremely touched when he got the gift.”
Initially, Salman refused to accept it, but Sonu insisted that he had to. The source adds, “Salman loves to give gifts. He’s always seen giving away watches to his friends. But he isn’t that forthcoming while accepting gifts. He felt Sonu’s phone was really expensive and he kept trying to convince him to keep it himself. However, Salman finally accepted it.” Sonu was hesitant to elaborate on the gift.
“It’s quite personal and I wouldn’t like to talk about it.” Sood’s character (Cheddi Singh) in Dabangg got such a great response that Arbaaz has decided to retain him in the sequel. Source
Known for doing intense roles, actor Sonu Sood plays a young politician in upcoming film ‘Dabangg’. But he reveals that he was actually supposed to play the lead role, now being essayed by Salman Khan.
‘The film was brought to me before Salman came on board. Initially I was supposed to do Salman’s role of a cop… but when he decided to be a part of the film, I was offered the role of the youth politician that I’m now playing,’ Sonu told IANS in an interview.
The actor, whose acting skills came to the fore in films like ‘Yuva’ and ‘Jodhaa Akbar’, says he is not afraid of being overshadowed by the superstar.
‘I’m not scared that I’ll get overshadowed in the film because of the presence of Salman. I completely trust Abhinav Kashyap, the director, who was Mani Ratnam’s assistant director during ‘Yuva’.
‘I know him since those days. Also, the character I’m playing is quite strong; so being sidelined was something that never bothered me,’ said Sonu, whose character in the film is named Cheddi Singh. More
First while shooting the tricky bare-bodied climactic combat scene in Wai for Dabangg, Salman personally supervised his screen-adversary Sonu Sood’s torso tanning. And now when Sonu Sood fractured his nose while shooting, Salman helped him.
It happened so, Salman and his co-star in Dabangg, Sonu Sood were shooting a fight scene that is a part of the climax. During the practice, one of the fighters jumped and his knee happened to hit Sonu’s nose real hard. The pain was quite severe and the X-ray revealed a fracture in Sonu’s nose.
Later on Sonu insisted continuing the shooting, but seeing Sonu in pain, Salman called for pack-up and asked Sonu to rest. Source
Bollywood actors Salman Khan and Sonu Sood will be loggerheads in their forthcoming movie. Sallu miyaan will appear in a negative role for the very first time as a corrupt cop while the movie is his brother’s first home production. Titled ‘Dabangg’, the movie’s lead heroine will be yesteryear Shotgun actor, Shatrughan Sinha’s daughter Sonakshi Sinha, who will be making her first appearance into Bollywood.
It is said that Salman’s bro Arbaaz Khan, the Producer, had a tough time in finding the right guy with a body that is as hot as Salman’s macho body. And finally after lot of search, Arbaaz rounded on Sonu. The movie will include gripping dhishum-dhishum scenes where both, Salman and Sonu will fight with bare body.
For their characters, all the three leading actors needed to speak Bihari accented Hindi, and so the trio is busy brushing up their UP language. But, with an advantage of Bihari background, Sonakshi Sinha wouldn’t have much problem with the language, thanks to her dad’s long time training. With this movie, the viewers can see a totally different Salman, who will be very rough and ill-mannered policeman, unlike the usual romantic handsome lover. Source
