Ranbir Kapoor is feeling the absence of his lady love a lot these days. He has been frantically sms-ing Deepika from the US where he’s shooting, saying that he wants her back in his life.

A friend of Deepika says her dignity dissuades her from talking about her past, there’s a distinct possibility of they getting back together. She adds it was Ranbir who told Deepika that the relationship was off. She took it on her chin and moved on, keeping the hurt to herself. But the minute Ranbir heard about rumours linking her to Shahid Kapoor, he started sms-ing Deepika and their mutual friends, asking if the rumours were true.

Shahid, on the other hand, has been mulling over other matters. His relationship with Priyanka Chopra ended on a rocky note a few days before Christmas last year but both are trying to connect to each other.

While they had never officially announced that they were dating last year, their fondness for each other was obvious, if their very public interaction on social networking sites is anything to go by. However, now they are connecting again, but through long phone chats. More

Last week Karan Johar played the catalyst, making Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor not only acknowledge each other’s presence but actually strike up a conversation, and a pretty warm one at that. The venue for this patch up was Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow, Mannat, where King Khan had hosted a celebration for My Name Is Khan. Says a source, “Shahid and Kareena came face to face and everyone thought they would simply ignore each other like they have on so many occasions in the past. But this time, Karan happened to be present right there and instead of marching past each other, they slowed down for a bit. And the rest, as they say, is history.”

Even after the ice was broken, neither Shahid or Kareena seemed in a rush to get back to more comfortable company. They had a pretty warm exchange and a little later even Saif, who was present at the party, joined them.

“Shahid and Kareena have finally decided to leave their acrimonious past behind them. This was very evident in the manner all three of them - Shahid, Kareena and Saif - interacted with each other at Shah Rukh’s party,” adds our source. While both Shahid and Kareena could not be reached for comment, Kareena’s official spokesperson said, “Kareena has no problem with anybody, including Shahid.” For the record, Shahid and Kareena, who were in a serious relationship for three years, parted ways in 2007, a few days before Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met hit the theatres.  Source

At a recently concluded award ceremony, ex-lovers Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor were up against each other and their petty antics only proved the reason for their parting ways. Both Kareena and Shahid were at opposing ends, as both demanded the organisers to perform after the other. Shahid insisted that he wanted to perform after Kareena as he had given more hits last year and Kareena maintained that she was a bigger star, and should get to perform after Shahid. After a lot of struggle, the organisers managed to coax Shahid and let Kareena have her way and perform after him.

This didn’t end here. Currently dating Saif Ali Khan, Kareena Kapoor was seen taking a keen interest into what Shahid was wearing all throughout the event. Sporting a nerd look, he also donned a pair of glasses, something that didn’t cut a smart figure in Kareena’s eye. Not that she was used to it in old days, we guess!

Keeping a close watch on the ‘Kaminey’ star, she commented on Shahid’s nerdy look and said he was not looking good with the glasses. The actress made sure she watched his full act from backstage. Source

The chocolate hero of bollywood Shahid Kapoor has started his new year with a bang by sweeping three awards for his performances in 2009.

While he was named the most popular male actor at the STAR Screen awards, Shahid also won the heartthrob of the nation award at the fifth Apsara Film and Television Producers Guild Awards.

The 28-year-old also walked away with the Editor’s choice best actor award at the Stardust awards for his portrayal of Guddu and Charlie - the ruffian with the endearing lisp and the simpleton who stammers respectively - in Vishal Bharadwaj’s “Kaminey“.

Last year saw Shahid’s transformation from a chocolate hero to an intense actor. Though his latest release “Chance Pe Dance” hasn’t been able to pull in a lot of audiences, Shahid is looking forward to good times this year. He will be seen in Parmeet Sethi’s untitled movie for Yash Raj Films apart from his father, veteran actor Pankaj Kapoor’s “Masoom”. Source

The injured man in love, Shahid Kapur, in Karan Johar’s show, ‘Lift Kara De’, hits back at his ex-flame Kareena Kapoor.

Shahid might be honest in his declaration but Kareena won’t be pleased to hear it. When Karan Johar said that he looked more relax now than two years back, Shahid replied candidly, “In the last two and a half years, I have done a lot of work which I wanted to do and enjoyed it. In the past I did what I was told to do.” It’s a clear indication that his career decision was influenced by Bebo when they were together.

In the show, Shahid confirmed that he is single and even clarified that he is neither dating Priyanka Chopra nor any other girl. Source

Hey you Shahid Kapoor fans out there, we have news for you. One of the most eligible men of B-town, Shahid Kapoor, was spotted with a stunning woman in Goa last week. The actor has been linked to every pretty girl in Bollywood, but his longest link-up in the last couple of years, has been with Priyanka Chopra.

And while rumours of their supposed blow-hot, blow-cold relationship are still doing the rounds, Shahid was seen in the company of another lovely lady. He was hanging out in Goa with a bunch of friends, and apparently, the new babe was a part of that group. She seemed to be quite smitten by our cool Kapoor, and was drawing a wee-bit extra attention from him too.

In the film Chance Pe Dance it’s believed that when Shahid’s character asks Genelia to keep riding the scooty, a stern Genelia absolutely refuses to jump a red light even though all roads are completely devoid of traffic.

In another shot when Genelia was to drive fast through heavy traffic, their scooty was attached to a towing vehicle and they needed to take a lot of turns to get the shot right. With each turn Ken kept asking the towing truck to go faster and faster, as a result of which the scooter kept getting faster too. At one turn the speed was so fast that the side wheels of the scooty went up and Genelia and Shahid were seconds away from flying in the air, attached to the tow truck… Ken shouted ‘cut’ and finally the shot came to an end without any bodily harm to the lead pair. Genelia clearly managed to keep the scooter under her control. Source

They are of course, the all-time Gods of The Body… but nudging them for a place on the pedestal is Shahid Kapoor whose amazing physique is in ripping display in a song in UTV Motion Pictures’ Chance Pe Dance that releases on January 15, 2010.

Shahid, who is proud of his body, says, “I won’t recommend that guys try to maintain a six-pack or a eight-pack all through the year… because it is tough, believe me.’’ However, building the eight-pack was a challenge he loved. “I’m inherently drawn to fitness. For me working out is a lifestyle. When Vishal Bharadwaj suggested that I get a tough look for Kaminey and Ken Ghosh said I should try and get eight-pack abs for a song in Chance Pe Dance, I had a goal to work towards. Of course, Kaminey is different from Chance Pe Dance so I have a different body-type is both films.’’

For a year, Shahid altered his lifestyle completely. First he went completely low on sugar and gradually introduced himself to slow-acting carbohydrates. Oats and brown rice became a regular at his dining table. And he ate his six meals a day at intervals of two-and-a-half hours, religiously. “I also worked out extensively, despite gruelling shooting schedules, even it meant hitting the gym at 2 am,’’ reveals the actor of his fitness fundas. Karan Johar has announced 12th January as the D-day for the arrival of Shah Rukh Khan starrer MY NAME IS KHAN. There is an around frenzy amongst movies to arrive in January since no big film is risking competing with one of the first huge films of 2009.

Two such films are CHANCE PE DANCE and ISHQIYA that have pencilled in 15th January for their arrival on the big screen. Incidentally, the central protagonists of these films are Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan respectively, both of whom were seen together as a pair in KISMAT KONNECTION.

Both films were originally meant to arrive in 2008. However, Shahid Kapoor had two back-to-back releases in the form of KAMINEY and DIL BOLE HADIPPA and it made sense for him to space out his film. On the other hand ISHQIYA had to keep it’s release on hold since there was a flurry of releases in the last quarter of 2009.

Starring Arshad Warsi and Naseeruddin Shah in the lead roles, ISHQIYA is directed by first timer Abhishek Chaubhey and is a co-production of Vishal Bhardwaj and Shemaroo’s Raman Maroo. On the other hand IT’S MY LIFE is a UTV production, features Genelia D’Souza as the leading lady and has film maker Ken Ghosh at the helm of affairs. Source

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor has found his best buddy! Well, well we are talking about his reel life buddy and not referring to his personal life, which he generally prefers to keep under wraps.

Buzz is that Indian Idol Season 3 finalist Meiyung Chang has been signed to play Shahid Kapoor’s best pal in the upcoming Yash Raj film, which is being directed by actor-turned-director Parmeet Sethi. Apparently the makers wanted a fresh face to play Shahid’s friend. So after auditioning almost a dozen newcomers, they finalized Chang.

However, Yash Raj people, as usual, have told him to keep his lips sealed till the film releases.

The film also stars Anushka Sharma, who had made her debut with YRF’s RAB NE BANA DI JODI starring Shahrukh Khan. Source
