Ranbir Kapoor, who is eight films old, will next be seen playing a rockstar in Imtiaz Ali’s film of the same name. “I have completed four years in the industry. My film Saawariya released on 9 November, 2009. But I feel that my journey has just begun. I have worked with very good directors. And I am looking forward to working with many more,” Ranbir said.
The actor, whose upcoming film Rockstar is ready for release, says that the past four years have been a great learning period for him. “I have learnt an important lesson in the past four years and that is to stay focused and concentrate on my work. The song Sadda Haq from Ranbir Kapoor starrer Rockstar has been in the news for all the right reasons. Until now.
A closer look at the song shows people waving the Free Tibet flag and it is this shot that has become a bone of contention between the Central Board of Film Certification and the film’s director, Imtiaz Ali. The board had asked Ali to blur the flag and the Free Tibet slogans but the director has reportedly refused to do that.
When asked whether he was concerned about the board’s stance, the director said: ” I am not concerned at all. I have been out of India for long and I am not concerned at all.”
The fear is that the song Sadda Haq, which translates into Our Right in English, may look like a promotion for the Tibetan cause,, a sensitive issue in India-China relations. More
Ranbir Kapoor’s role as the reluctant but ruthless politician in hit political thriller “Raajneeti” earned him a lot of praise, but his “Anjaana Anjaani” failed to garner the same response. Now the young actor is hoping to make a mark with “Rockstar”, releasing Friday, where his character goes through various shades.

Thousands of fans gathered to cheer Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor at his first live concert, organised to promote his soon-to-be-released film Rockstar.
The event was held at Bhavans College ground in suburban Andheri here last night. At the concert, Ranbir was accompanied by the Oscar-winning music composer AR Rahman, playback singer Mohit Chauhan, music arranger Ranjit Barot, percussion guru Sivamani and lead actress Nargis Fakhri, among others.
Saadda Haq, the song that has become quite a rage among the youth, was the highlight of the concert. The ecstatic fans could be seen humming the lyrics of the song, when it was being played. More

He agreed to let Rishi Kapoor stay back in Mumbai for his son Ranbir Kapoor’s concert on November 1 although Kapoor Sr was required to shoot in Dehra Doon.
The entire unit of Karan’s film Student Of The Year was supposed to leave for Dehra Doon on November 1 for the next schedule. But when Karan heard that Ranbir would be performing live at a rock concert on that day, he insisted that Rishi stay back for a day.
“It wasn’t an easy decision to make since the schedule in Dehra Doon is really tight and the relevant permission to shoot there has been obtained with much difficulty,” says a source. “But when Karan came to know about Ranbir’s concert and that Ranbir was keen for his father to be present for the same, Karan didn’t hesitate in suggesting Rishi stay back.” More

The entire team of Shree Ashtavinayak Cinevision and Eros International’s upcoming movie ROCKSTAR recently made a trip to Punjab for the promotion of their movie.
In Punjab, they visited Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana and Chandigarh. The team also took out time from their promotional schedule to visit the beautiful Golden Temple in Amritsar.
While Ranbir Kapoor, director Imtiaz Ali and producer Hiren Gandhi visited the holy place at 4 in the morning, the film’s heroine, newbie Nargis Fakhri visited the temple the next morning at 11am. More

Do you remember the pretty girls dancing with Kareena Kapoor in JAB WE MET’s hit number ‘Yeh Ishq Hai’? They were professional dancers from the Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) who specialize in the folk dance of Tibet.
Apparently, Director Imtiaz Ali was so impressed by their talent that he decided to shoot with them once again while working on ROCKSTAR.
A source from the production team says, ‘Imtiaz and team were shooting for ROCKSTAR in Dharamshala for a concert sequence for ‘Saadda Haq’ and required a lot of dancers. He suggested calling the same group of performers from Shimla with whom he had worked during JAB WE MET. He wanted to connect with them once again after the film. Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor was keen to meet with the ‘men at the border’ and immediately jumped at the opportunity to travel to Nahan, Himachal Pradesh , home to the 1 para Batallion, comprising some of iNida’s finest commandos.
Taking some time out from his professional commitments, Ranbir spent the day with the Jawans and even got a firsthand look at the challenges and training they have to undergo, having participated in some of the activities himself.
Apart from sharing a meal with them and entertaining them to the hilt, Ranbir participated in some high voltage sniper firing, followed by rock climbing and rappelling, and even a rugby match with the Jawans. Grapevines of late are going on that the Badshah Shahrukh Khan has been replaced by youngistan dude Ranbir Kapoor in the much-talked project ‘Two States’, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
The film, which is an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat’s bestseller of same title, was earlier reported to be directed by Vishal Bharadwaj. It was supposed to be the first movie which brings together the talented filmmaker and King Khan. However, there seems to be change of plans and now Karan Johar will be taking on the production department along with Nadiadwala.
It is said that due to some reasons Bharadwaj put ‘Two States’ on hold and instead started to work on a comedy, starring Ajay Devgn and Anushka Sharma in lead. Following this Karan approached Sajid to co-produce the project. This would be first time that Karan’s banner is joining hands with other production house – yeah, keeping out the fact that SRK’s banner Red Chillies Entertainment has always been friendly collateral with KJo’s movies.
