Here’s how Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor gave director Siddharth Raj Anand a scare while filming Anjaana Anjaani at Jean dry lake in the Nevada desert. They disappeared just before choreographer Ahmed Khan could call for action. The two actors had seen some dirt bikes by the lake, and decided to indulge themselves.

If that wasn’t enough, a few crew members also joined the lead stars on the other bikes. Bechara Khan and Anand were on edge since the weather conditions were extreme and they had to wrap up the shoot before sunset.
 
At the insistence of Kapoor and Chopra, they also opted for a ride, albeit reluctantly, in the belief that they could get the actors to return to face the cameras soon. Thank God for small mercies. The cast and crew were done with dirt biking just in time for Anand and Khan to resume shooting. Fortunately, they filmed the scheduled shots just before the sun went down. Phew! Source

Superstar in the making Ranbir Kapoor is going to rule the world soon. News has it that the Kapoor scion has been lined up for a 16-city concert in US and Europe next year. Riding high on the recent success of ‘Raajneeti’ and praised for his A-class performance in many of his earlier films, Ranbir Kapoor is earning worldwide admiration.

To cash in on his growing stardom, Morani brothers (producers) have planned out a concert which will begin in the US and cover 16 stops across Canada as well as select cities in Europe. This will be the first leg of his tour with South Africa and other countries en route.

Confirming the report, the actor’s dad Rishi said, “Ranbir is going on a world tour next year. All the details have been worked out. I have done some 300-odd shows around the world, some of them with the Moranis, so it`s like a new innings for us.”

Why did the actor wait so long to go on tour? Rishi said, “You can`t just go on a world concert. It was important to have a bank of songs to perform on. Now that he`s a few films old and has some chartbusters to his credit it`s the right time.” More

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor is renovating his Mumbai’s Pali Hill bungalow-Krishna Raj. The bungalow is going to be more spacious than before and one of the reasons behind making it bigger and spacious is their son Ranbir Kapoor. No sooner Ranbir finds the perfect match for him, he will settle down. Ranbir quips that he wants to stat a family soon.

Rishi Kapoor has decided to convert his bungalow into 14-storeyed building because he hopes that Ranbir would get married someday. Ranbir confirms the same, “I want to start a family at some point. So we’re only making a bigger house for ourselves.”

He hopes to settle down soon, “I will settle down as soon as I find someone special, and I haven’t so far; I have a lot to do as of now. I am still trying to create a firm hold in the film industry,” says Ranbir. Like any normal person, the actor is very closely attached to Krishna Raj. He has memories attached to the house.

While playing the lead in Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Rock Star’ Ranbir had learned to play the guitar from scratch.

And we hear, Ranbir is all set to perform live for the film. Apparently, one reason why Saif had initially been selected for the role of the Rock Star was his proficiency on the guitar. (Saif had played with the band Parikrama and knew how to play live on stage).

And now with Ranbir stepping in, though he won’t be singing his own tracks, he will play the guitar in front of a live audience for the film. The idea is to fill up the audience with youngsters who are fans of rock music for a ‘Ranbir Kapoor Concert’ backed by a full band. Source

While Shah Rukh is reported to have become enamoured with the instrument while on holiday in Spain, Ranbir has been taking guitar lessons to help with his role in Imtiaz Ali’s upcoming film Rockstar. The young actor is said to already be able to perform an impressive rendition of ‘Ek Haseena Thi’ (from the film Karz, in which Papa Rishi played the lead role). At the moment filming on Rockstar is halted while Ranbir grows his hair long for his character.

While SRK’s newfound passion for the guitar appears to be at this stage just a new interest, maybe he too can incorporate his hobby into a future film role just like Ranbir. Source

Ranbir Kapoor, the hot contender for the next Bollywood prince charming is on the wish list of top Bollywood producers. His refusal to Karan for a film with SRK is a stale news and now we hear that Ranbir might consider a film with Vidhu Vinod Chopra the man who is still dreaming to work with SRK.

A close hand reveals that SRK was considered initially for Vinod’s next ‘Ferrari Ki Safaari’ and now Ranbir has bagged the film. The film will be helmed by Vinod’s long time assistant and is based on the bestselling novel by the same name. Pritam is said to have been considered for the music. Bollywood supremo Aamir Khan’s recent party for international music composer Gustavo Santaolalla rocked. Most of the bigwigs who Aamir had invited turned up — Imtiaz Ali, Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, even the staunch Shah Rukh Khan loyalist Karan Johar came early (8 pm) and left in the wee hours of the morning.

It is said that when Aamir was taking stock of his guests the next morning, it dawned on him that the one who was missing from the celebrity list was Bollywood’s current sweetheart Ranbir Kapoor.

The party was held at 24 Pali Hill, Imran Khan’s residence that is just a few blocks away from Ranbir’s Krishna Raj bungalow.

Sources indicate that the reason why Ranbir reportedly stayed away is because he wasn’t keen to come face-to-face with his ex-buddy Imran and his fiancée Avantika Malik; especially after the media reported that Avantika and her mother Vandana Malik had torn Raajneeti to smithereens on their visit to the theatre.
