R Madhavan - Making His Presence Felt

R Madhavan, the 3 Idiots star is said to have bagged yet another project here; this time from a director who gave earlier India’s first ever football-centric film ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal’ and the suspense flick ‘Chocolate’.

After a considerable gap, filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri is back with a biopic film this time, titled ‘Freedom’. While Madhavan will play the lead, the director revealed that he is planning to rope in another southern superstar Mohanlal for the film.

Besides, this film Vivek has another project on hand, titled 12. The film is said to be based on the famous Hollywood classic ‘12 Angry Men’. “I am scouting for 12 talented actors from all across the country. I am planning to announce the film officially in the month of March,” shared the filmmaker to sources. Source

R Madhavan’s Love For The Alphabet ‘T’

The filmstars are turning superstitious a lot these days. R Madhavan who has just recently delivered a decent hit with thriller film, 13B or Thirteen B as you may call it now has at least three more films with each having titles starting with well you guessed it right, ‘T’. These T oops three film are, Rajkumar Hirani’s Three Idiots with Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Sharman Joshi, Leena Yadav’s Teen Patti and Anand Raj’s romantic comedy Tanu Weds Manu.

Madhavan may well have his fourth film with a ‘T’ beginning as well since the title of that film is yet to be finalized. This film is Navdeep Singh’s (of Manorama Six Feet Under fame) spy thriller being produced by Mukesh Talreja and Nikhil Advani which has Madhavan playing a key role along side Akshay Khanna and Shahana Goswami. Maybe, the producers and director are in search of a name for the film, beginning with ‘T’. And if that happens well it would definitely mean, Madhavan feels safe in T-Company. Source

R. Madhavan - Riding On Other Actor’s Luck

Actor R. Madhavan, who appeared on the silver screen after a long time in recently released horror film ‘13B’, doesn’t mind doing multi-starrer Hindi films.

Madhavan shot to fame in Bollywood with his debut movie ‘Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein’ (2001) and after that he was seen in solo lead in ‘Ramji Londonwaley’ (2005).
‘Solo leads were not in style after ‘Rehnaa Hai…’ or ‘Ramji Londonwaley’. And despite being multi-starrers, all my films have done very well both commercially and critically whether it is ‘Rang De Basanti’ or ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ for that matter,’ Madhavan told. Seems that the luck of other stars is more good for him than his own. Source

Shahrukh Khan Referring Madhavan

The king Khan Shah Rukh and R. Madhavan have many things in common. While Shah Rukh Khan is the undisputed king of Bollywood, Madhavan on the other hand is the undisputed king of the South. In fact many people have actually compared their acting skills on screen and even SRK is aware of this.

The two haven’t shared the screen space together yet, in fact Madhavan was supposed to star in Karan Johar’s ‘My Name Is Khan’. Unfortunately Maddy got a little too busy with Aamir’s ‘3 Idiots’ and missed the chance to pair opposite SRK. Madhavan’s ‘Guru En Aalu’ is a remake of ‘Yes Boss’ will be hitting the screens on March 20. The director of the film, Selvah shared an interesting statement at this time.

He said, “When I informed about my wish for remaking ‘Yes Boss’, Shah Rukh Khan without any pause referred Madhavan would be the right option”.  Source

Madhavan Following A Strict Diet To Look Lean

madhavan1.jpgMadhavan is following a strict diet and work-out regime in London to acquire a leaner look for director Rajkumar Hirani ’s ‘3 Idiots’, which is based on Chetan Bhagat’s hit novel ‘Five Point Someone’.

Since Madhavan plays a student in the film, he is working hard to look young and lean and is currently staying at Ashford, London. According to him, it’s easier for him at Ashford as there are lots of health clinics there.

Rajkumar Hirani zeroed down on three actors to play three IITian students in the movie. He finalized Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor quite early for the lead roles. Hirani later got Sharman Joshi and Madhavan to play the other two main characters respectively.

The first schedule of ‘3 Idiots’ is over in Ladakh with Aamir and Kareena. The parts with Madhavan and Sharman are not yet scheduled.

Madhavan was quoted as saying that it’s not a matter of looking thin or lean. The point is that they should look like young students from IIT. Source
