Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s cousin brother Amit has recently come to be close friends with John Abraham, so much so, that he recently gifted the actor a self-designed tee.

The two got along well during the special screening of Eros International’s DESI BOYZ where John plays the lead opposite Deepika. If that wasn’t all, Amit and John have also started working out together.

Says a source, “Amit was introduced to John on the sets of DESI BOYZ and the two grew to be close friends. Amit has great respect for John and wanted to gift him something. He self-designed a jersey for the actor who was overwhelmed with his gesture.” More

With DESI BOYZ being Akshay’s only release in second half of 2011 (PATIALA HOUSE and THANK YOU had arrived earlier), one would have thought that this year is comparatively relaxed year for Akshay Kumar when compared to 2010 and 2009. With his upcoming film FORCE John Abraham is set to return back to action after a gap of eight years. The actor is excited about the film since action has been one of John’s favourite genres.

Talking about his favourite action heroes in Bollywood, John rates Akshay Kumar as the guru of the action genre. John also seems to have forgotten his cold-chemistry with Salman and admits that Sallu is one of the biggest stars in Bollywood currently.

What is interesting is John’s opinion about Bollywood’s other favourite action guy-Ajay Devgn Though Ajay Devgn recently showed his action packed moves in the super successful film SINGHAM , John thinks the actor still does not get his due all the time. Speaking about Ajay Devgn, John says, ‘Ajay Devgn is one of the best action heroes in town. The only problem is that Ajay is an underrated action hero. The star was shooting for a TVC for Van Heusen’s clubwear- VDot. The commercial features John turning on his charm and enjoying all attention.

Akshay posted this picture on Twitter asking his fans to guess his and John’s professional names. The actor tweeted, “‘DESI BOYZ’ r melting hearts 2day! It seems actress Bipasha Basu has taken the practical approach after her break up with John Abraham.

She says she has moved on and doesn’t miss him anymore.

“Nobody plans a break up or any negative thing in your life, when it happens you deal with it, life is such that it teaches you, it heals you and you move on.

I don’t miss John,” Bipasha said on a television show.

The couple broke up after dating for eight years.

They first came together in Mahesh Bhatt’s “Jism” and later did films like “Madhoshi” and “Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal”. Source

It is heard that the makers of Dostana 2 are searching for top stars who can play gay characters opposite the lead actors Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham. Yes, full length gay roles, unlike the two actors who fake their identities.

But going by the sensitivity of the roles no actor in the industry is willing to accept the offer. Birdies revealed that hot B-town hunks like Arjun Rampal, Abhay Deol, Riteish Deshmukh and Dino Morea were approached for the gay characters; however all of them said to have rejected it.

Another reason for Dostana 2′s delay is the script. Birdies said that director Tarun Mansukhani had reworked on the script since producer Karan Johar wasn’t impressed with the earlier one. But now it seems that both Abhishek and John are not happy with the new version. Source
