Come September and it would be known to one and all that kisme kitna hai dum. Month of July has been extraordinary for Bollywood with four huge hits in a row. However September could well be the most defining month of 2011 when it comes to youngsters taking the forefront and rising up to the challenge. Shahid Kapoor, Imran Khan and John Abraham – three Gen X actors on whom Bollywood future is dependent would be vying for attention right through the month, hence claiming their spot under the sun.
Says a filmmaker who has a knack for launching newcomers, “This is the most crucial period for the industry since all three actors are at a very crucial juncture of their career. Shahid has to score a big hit with ‘Mausam’ so that after ‘Kaminey, ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Vivah’, he can stake further claim in the bracket of top stars. Ditto for Imran Khan who has to now strike hard with ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’ now that his positioning is hot after ‘Delhi Belly’, ‘Break Ke Baad’ and ‘I Hate Luv Storys’.” More
Bollywood actor Imran Khan got slapped 16 times — and that too by his co-star Katrina Kaif!
Before one draws any conclusions, Imran had to go through the torture for a scene in their upcoming film Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, releasing September 9.
The romantic comedy, helmed by debutant director Ali Abbas Zafar, had a scene where Katrina had to slap Imran. But to the actor’s misfortune, Katrina took more than 16 takes to get the slap right!
‘We did that scene 16 times… 16 takes and finally the packup happened,’ Imran told reporters here.
‘Next day when I came onto the sets for the next scene, I was told that Katrina is not very happy with the scene that we did yesterday so she wants to shoot it again, only the slapping part. So we did more takes,’ he added. More
The title song of MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN left everyone charmed and captivated during the music release event of the film that was held at YRF Studios in Mumbai.
The event went on along the same lines as that of the theme of the movie – fun and endearing.
The music launch event also saw the stars of MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN perform to these two numbers. Imran Khan danced away to the title track while the ‘boldest dulhan’ as Katrina Kaif appears in the movie, performed on Dhunki track. More
The Kidnap actor Imran Khan has finally left for his long overdue holiday with wife Avantika Malik. The couple will be travelling to Prague, Venice and Paris.
Imran, who married Avantika, in January this year, had gone to Thailand for a short honeymoon.
They had been planning for their European sojourn for a while but because of his film commitments could not travel. As soon as the actor is back, he will get busy with the promotions of Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Source

Shockingly it will be Imran Khan proposing love to Kareena Kapoor and not Saif. He has chosen just the appropriate moment for that as well. It would happen on the weekend leading to the Valentine’s Day when he would indulge in a Short Term Shaadi with his leading love.
“It couldn’t have been a better day than this to release this young rom-com”, informs a source, “This is for the first time that Imran and Kareena are coming together and the day of their arrival was always supposed to be special. More
The success of Delhi Belly has made a hat-trick for Imran Khan after ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ (hit) and ‘Break Ke Baad’ (coverage). On the other hand his closest rival Ranbir has some catching up to do as he hasn’t had a release for almost a year now.
His ‘Rockstar’ is continuing to get pushed and while it is expected to be huge on entertainment, it is still a wait for the star. Meanwhile for Imran this is turning out to be a pretty sorted out phase as he has a definite success in hand with his next release – Yash Raj’s ‘Mere Brother Ki Dulhan’.
“Imran is all set to make it four in a row,” says an industry expert, “The film has everything going for it, whether it’s his first time pairing with Katrina or the feel good ‘marriage’ subject, something that has seen a cent percent record in recent past. Remember how ‘Tanu Weds Manu’ and ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’ were lapped up by the masses as well?” More

It is time for all you Khan fans to celebrate. It was always expected that due to the popularity of D.K. Bose and Aamir’s (as always) innovative publicity that DELHI BELLY was going to score over BBUDDAH… HOGA TERRA BAAP. And that is exactly what has happened.
As per the initial reports, DELHI BELLY has opened to a 50- 70 percent start at city multiplexes and even 75-85 percent at high end metro multiplexes. The single screens though are lower at 35-45 percent. It is expected that the 32 crores (inclusive of print and publicity) DELHI BELLY will have a good weekend, netting in the region of 25 crores plus or so. Source
Bollywood is full of news, gossips, glamour and rumours. There have been numerous stories doing the rounds about the equation shared by Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor. Sometimes, they are shown to be best buddies, while sometimes they are portrayed to be arch rivals.
Ask Imran if he’s competing with Ranbir and he says, ‘It really doesn’t make sense to me. Someone else’s success and failure doesn’t affect my success and failure. Tomorrow if Ranbir’s film does well, it doesn’t damage my film in anyway. If Ranbir’s film fails, it doesn’t help my film.’ More
Imran Khan is in the capital and is holding a first of its kind press conference in Delhi. He will be doing a press conference at the Indian Women’s Press Club (IWPC) today. As the name suggests, the press conference will be attended by only female journalists.

Right from day one, Aamir Khan maintained that his latest production, DELHI BELLY is strictly for adults. And with the way the film is being promoted including the nasty song tracks, it was quite certain the film will not bag a ‘U’ or a ‘UA’ certificate.
So it comes as no shock that Imran Khan starrer DELHI BELLY has been passed by the Censor Board with an ‘A’ certificate, as per the reports. However, the team of DELHI BELLY can heave a sigh of relief as the Censor has cleared the film without any cuts.

Aamir Khan Production’s DELHI BELLY, directed by Abhinay Deo, is all set to be released in major overseas territories including North America, UK, and Australia, on almost 250 screens, coinciding with its domestic opening on 1st July, 2011.
According to the officials of the film’s distributor UTV, they will be targeting the traditional South East Asian diaspora as well as the English audiences hoping the film to be the first break out Indian film that finds universal acceptance. DELHI BELLY has more than 80% English dialogues. However, it is unabashedly a Bollywood film with its ten songs, an eclectic mix of Punjabi, Hindi, and English lyrics and a smart fusion of ‘desi’ and western tunes and instrumentation. One of the film’s songs, Bhag D.K. Bose Aandhi Aayi has already become a big hit with young audiences. More
At least there is someone among the young crop of actors who is not smitten by size-zero figures. Imran Khan, who is riding the popularity wave high with his DELHI BELLY euphoria, has for the first time spoken about women he admires.
According to the actor, “Most of the women don’t know how to flatter their bodies. Choosing the right fit is a must when wearing jeans. I am not a great admirer of size-zero figures. I like curves on a woman as it really flatters her body.”
It must be mentioned that Imran has recently started his own clothing line and the actor is trying to spread his idea of style through his fashion venture. Talking about it, Khan adds, “This new line has my personal touch. It’s me in every way, is casual and comfortable. I feel that fashion should speak about your personality.” More
