Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ looks a fun film but the actors have gone through difficult times while shooting for a song in the film. Before shooting for the song Naina in Wai, Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan were confined in a car for nearly 12 hours due to a landslide on route to Wai from Mumbai.
When the actors reached Wai they had to travel for another three hours to the location for just one paragraph of the song that was being shot there.
Director of the film Punit Malhotra said, “When the two reached the location, Imran joked, ‘Punit, run for your life. Kareena is coming with an axe to kill you!’”. He further added that Bebo had to wear a heavy Indian outfit for the shoot, after which she had to return to Mumbai.
Malhotra recalls that, “Kareena had a lot of black coffee and I had to bribe Imran with good Parsi food.”
Talking about the shoot he said, “I had to make them go across a huge rock and stand on the edge of a cliff for a shot. The good thing is that the shoot went off very well. The weather was also lovely as it was the monsoon season.”
After ‘Tooh’ and ‘Chingam Chabake’, the makers of ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ have released another foot-tapping number from the film, ‘Dhat Teri Ki’ danced by Imran Khan and Esha Gupta. The song is more of an item number where Imran danced with smoking hot Esha.
Vishal-Shekhar has composed the film of the film and Sanam Puri and Aditi Singh Sharma landed their voice. The song shows Imran wooing the ‘Jannat 2’ girl. It is a peppy party number fully entertaining. ‘Dhat Teri Ki is a blend of Hindi and English lyrics. Esha looks hot in short pant and a top.
‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ is a love story set in a village where a city boy named Sriram (Imran Khan) travels all round the globe to find his ladylove and his search ends when he met gaon ki gori Dia, played by Kareena Kapoor.
Director Punit Malhotra of ‘I Hate Luv Storys’ fame feels the film offers a “deeper meaning” than a regular Bollywood romantic comedy. In an interview, director Punit Malhotra said: “I am very confident about the film’s music. It is very strong and we have worked very hard for it.”
The film also features Shraddha Kapoor, as Imran Khan’s fiancee. Produced by Karan Johar under Dharma Productions banner, ‘Gori Tere Pyaar Mein’ is all set to released on November 22, 2013
Superstar Shah Rukh Khan says the issue over the allotment of screens for the release of Ekta Kapoor‘s ‘Once Upon A time In Mumbai Dobaara‘ is a little unfounded as ‘Chennai Express’ producers UTV did make way for Balaji’s request.Shobha Kapoor, who released Akshay Kumar starrer Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara a week later on August 15, had expressed disappointment with UTV over the sharing of screens.
Shah Rukh said the commitment from the producers at UTV was well clarified with the makers of Once Upon Ay Time In Mumbai Dobaara! and he was not involved in any discussion. “Our film was earlier supposed to release on Thursday, it then got shifted to Friday, a week means seven days and everyone has the right to run their film for seven days. So seven days got over and we gave them the theatres on Friday. If there is an issue or complaint about this, I think it is little unfounded,” he said.
Milan Luthria and Ekta Kapoor had woven the magical ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai’ that featured Ajay Devgn and Emraan Hashmi. The filmmakers also garnered applause for Vidya Balan’s ‘The Dirty Picture’. But the hit formula that they had devised seems to have gone awry this time around. ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara’ is nothing but an out and out Akshay Kumar film with nothing more to offer.while not a good film by any stretch of the imagination — a tolerable throwback to the dialogue-laden movies of yore. Things have gotten far worse this time around, with characters talking exclusively in the sort of aphoristic couplets found on auto-rickshaw stickers.
Akshay Kumar makes some of those lines work, but the rest are beyond redemption. What is most upsetting is how the vital lines flounder the most: unrelated inanities pop up throughout, but it is when the script actually demands a line with some heft that there is none to be found. It is as if the writers copy-paste lines from railway station shayari books whenever they can, but at times of actual dramatic punch, nothing fits.
Except, that is, Akshay Kumar. Kumar — despite his preparation for this film consisting merely of picking out the right pair of sunglasses — relishes playing villain. He says as much, too, in a rare good line about how the Hindi film hero only enjoys the final reel where things end happily while the baddie lives it up throughout the film. And so his Shoaib Bhai smokes and slithers and, for some reason, taps chairs repeatedly on the floor till he gets the attention of the room. A dreaded gangster, Shoaib is most impressed by those rare ones who stay impudent to his face — even after learning that those folks have no idea who he is, and seeing them cower like everyone else when apprised of his omnipotence.
Director Milan Luthria opts for a very conventional treatment to this film. The cinematic liberties taken in the film are anything but acceptable. The hide-and-seek game between the police and the dreadful don is quite unrealistic and it goes without saying that it’s total filmy!Pritam has produced a masterpiece in the form of ‘Yeh Tune Kya Kiya’ sung by Javed Bashir. The ‘Taiyyab Ali’ track is a good attempt to revive a vintage hit. But the rest of the songs, though hummable, look unnecessary. Luthria could have done without them thereby keeping the velocity of the film steady.Nonetheless, OUATIMD is a tale of a don who wishes to win over the love of his life! Watch it only for Akshay Kumar.
This Independence Day will be rather special for the khiladi of Bollywood. Firstly, his much-awaited action film Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara (OUATIMD) which also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan will hit the screens. And along with the film, the first teaser of Boss starring Akki in lead along with Aditi Rao Hydari will also be unveiled.
What’s interesting is the fact that this is the first time ever that a teaser of the film is being launched to announce the trailer release.Boss is directed by Anthony D’Souza, who has earlier directed Blue. (which incidentally tanked at the box office without a trace). The film will be produced by Ashwin Varde, featuring Akshay Kumar, Aditi Rao Hydari and Mithun Chakraborty in lead roles.
Looks like Imran Khan’s loss is Shahid Kapoor’s gain. With Imran walking out of Ekta Kapoor’s next, the makers are said to have roped in Shahid Kapoor in his place. Incidentally, the film co-stars Sasha’s ex Priyanka Chopra.Reports suggest that though Imran was keen to work with Ekta again, he was more interested in playing a Gujarati superhero in a film that will be directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. Unfortunately for Imran, dates of both the films were clashing and hence Imran decided to opt for Vikramaditya’s film.
Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar says his choice of films is dictated by the market demand and he does not mind playing regular action-comedy roles. In 2012, the 45-year-old actor dominated the screens with his masala entertainers “Housefull 2,” “Rowdy Rathore,” “Joker,” and “Khiladi 786.”
“Such films were running so what should I do! You have to do sometimes what people like. I do feel the need to change but I have to see what the market wants. Whatever the demand is the product has to be the same. It is not my choice,” Akshay said.
The actor seemed miffed to be asked about choosing similar looking roles lately but said he is breaking the mould with Special 26 and his upcoming film Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Dobaara where he is playing a negative role after his 2001 release Ajnabee.
With Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara!, Akshay is stepping into altogether different genre as he is playing negative role in the film. “It felt amazing to take out the gun and keep it on the hero’s head. For the first time I got an opportunity to do that. I honestly enjoyed it,” Akshay said.
“What will the result be? I can’t say whether it will be a hit or a flop. But as an artiste you are very proud of some films and this is that one film for me. There are few films which I don’t keep in my DVD collection but of ‘OUATIMD’ I can keep two copies.”
It is learned that Ekta spoke to her team members about casting imran Khan and Sonakshi Sinha together in yet another movie for Balaji Telefilms in the future. The makers seem to be impressed with the fresh crackling chemistry between Imran and Sonakshi in Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara.
“We were amazed at the sparkling chemistry between Imran and Sonakshi. They are at amazing ease with each other. They are the new romantic pair created and we would definitely like to repeat them in one of our future productions,” Ekta said in a statement here.
Directed by Milan Luthria, ‘Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara‘ also stars Akshay Kumar and Sonali Bendre.
Akshay Kumar is very confident that his upcoming film, ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI DOBARA will join the 100 crore club.
The film will cross 100 crores, he said in a video conference at the second theatrical launch of the film. Akki had a ball while shooting for the film. ”I have enjoyed myself. It’s great fun playing a bad guy on screen. Many years ago I had played a bad role in Ajnabee. This is the second film in which I’m playing a negative character. It’s very difficult to get a role like this in which the bad character gets a very important role. So when I get such an opportunity, I make sure that I don’t let it go. It is a villain’s love story, which is an amazing thing,” he said.
Speaking about getting offers from production houses like Balaji Telefilms and Dharma Productions, the actor said, “I’m very happy and lucky that I’m getting offers from such big people and their companies. I’m thankful to God also that I’m getting so many films.”
Directed by Milan Luthria and starring Sonakshi Sinha and Imran Khan, Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara is all set to release on August 15.
What did actor Imran Khan learn from the sets of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobara? The way his co-star Akshay Kumar handled any distractions on the set.
The actor says that his co-star Akshay Kumar handled any distractions on the set. He said, “Normally, in these cases, we cancel the shot because something goes wrong. But Akshay can improvise the moment and he incorporates that distraction or issue in the scene,”
The 30-year-old actor also recounted one such instance stating, “There’s a scene where he is sitting and writing and I come in. He looks up and speaks to me, but then (when we were shooting it), the pen fell down. He didn’t do anything, and just gestured me with his eyes to pick it up. I picked up the pen, saw it and handed it to him and kept the dialogues running. This is (also) in the movie,” he said.
Based on period gangster, OUATIMD is directed by Milan Luthria and features Sonakshi Sinha opposite the two. It is a sequel to Balaji Motion Pictures’ 2010 hit Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai and releasing on August 15.
This Eid two superstars – Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar – will be clashing at the box office with their respective films, but the latter says too much should not be read into this and hoped both movies will do robust business.Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar said the festival of Eid was big enough to accommodate two films, SRK’s Chennai Express and his Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai Again.
“I see this in a positive way. Eid is a big day. It is big enough for two films. There is no point in thinking too much over it,” Akshay said He was speaking to reporters here at the first look launch of ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again’.
