Much has been said and written about Akshay Kumar’s huge line up of films this year which kick-starts with the release of HOUSEFULL 2 in April. While each of his four upcoming films this year (including ROWDY RATHORE, JOKER and KHILADI 786 – MADE IN PUNJAB) is either on floors or set to release, soon Akshay would also begin shoot for ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI – 2. Guess this is one film which has already created quite some positive vibes in the industry and Akshay must be aware of the audience’s expectations.
“I know,” acknowledges Akshay, “Well, it’s an incredible sequel to be a part of and the positive feedback that I’ve received already has been extremely encouraging. I only hope I can live up to the hype really and the rest is already written.”
Well, audience for sure are rooting for his ONCE UPON A TIME IN MUMBAAI 2, more so since it is not just a brand that is being nourished but because they wish to know ‘what happens next’ in this story. More

Akshay Kumar dislikes being typecast as an ‘action’ or a ‘comedy’ hero and says he is not in the race for the top spot.
“We are not fighting for any title. We are not race horses that you bet on them. We all actors are in one fraternity and we do films so that our industry progresses and not because we want to fight with each other for a title,” the 44-year-old actor said here while being presented as the brand ambassador of Viacom18′s youth channel SONIC.
He has performed his own stunts ever since his debut in Bollywood in 1991 with “Saugandh”, but confesses that he gets jittery while doing some risky scenes.
“I have done a lot of action in which I get really scared. But it’s more of a good fear that I feel. Like a human body, which has good cholesterol and bad cholesterol, similarly we have good fear and bad fear,” said Akshay who was last seen in “Desi Boyz”. More
The makers of ROWDY RATHORE are trying hard to keep their much touted film under wraps and away from media’s glare. However, we caught a glimpse of the Akshay Kumar and Sonakshi Sinha starrer. Here’s a sneak peek of the on location pictures.

Ajay Devgn may be priding himself to be the SON OF SARDAR while Saif Ali-Khan is all set to run the RACE all over again. However when it comes to box office battle, none of the two are in ‘race’ of any kind. Though both were earlier said to be dead serious about coming on Diwali next year, Ajay as well as Saif feel that it is futile to add on to the mayhem. Hence they have instead planned to arrive a fortnight later.
“When SON OF SARDAR and RACE 2 were announced, it was being said that these films would be releasing on Diwali 2012. After all Ajay has a great track record on the festive occasion with GOLMAAL 3, GOLMAAL RETURNS and ALL THE BEST being huge successes. On the other hand RACE 2 is also one of the hottest films of next year and would have been gladdened the audience had it made it to the festive occasion,” says a source. More
It seems that finally all’s well between Akshay Kumar and Priyanka Chopra. Putting an end to reports about a rift between them, the latter said he is okay about working with the actress again.
‘I have no qualms in working with Priyanka again,’ said Akshay while promoting his forthcoming movie ‘Desi Boyz’ on the reality show ‘Star ya Rockstar’.
The duo teamed up for the first time in 2003 release ‘Andaaz’ and later featured together in ‘Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ and ‘Aitraaz’. Despite being a hit jodi, they stopped signing films together after rumours of a link-up started doing the rounds.

The DESI BOYZ Music launch was one helluva event.
Living upto their on-screen persona, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham did what not at the event. From lifting up and twirling their respective leading ladies – Chitrangada Singh & Deepika Padukone in air to juggling bottles like bartenders to flinging their coats in audience or tearing off their shirts from shoulders to a live fire-breathing stunt, Akshay & John energetically promoted their film.
John and Akshay broke into a jig as they entered and gave a stupendous performance on the film’s popular number ‘English Thumkein’.
While John and Akshay were seen in a same outfit (custom-made) the two dazzling ladies, Chitrangada and Deepika sizzled in their respective short dress and both looked fabulous.
Director Rohit Dhawan, son of filmmaker David Dhawan, was also present at the event. Source
Six years after ‘Garam Masala’, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham have teamed up again to entertain people with their new action-comedy ‘Desi Boyz’. The latter can’t stop heaping praise on his co-star and says that he is the ‘fittest man’ in the industry.
“Akshay has always been a guiding force from ‘Garam Masala’ itself. I was very raw then. I have learnt a lot from him,” said John.
John, who built a muscular body for his last release ‘Force’, even feels Akshay is fit as a fiddle at 44.
“Even during ‘Force’ I was always asked who is the fittest man in the industry and I have always said it is Akshay Kumar and I stand by it. He is a true inspiration in a lot more ways than one. To look so fit and handsome all the time is really difficult and he does it all the time,” added John. More
Unlike other Bollywood celebrities, who prefer to converse in English, Bollywood’s desi boy Akshay Kumar says he is more comfortable talking in Hindi.
“After all, we’re Hindi film stars. We earn our bread and butter from Bollywood. I’m uncomfortable talking in English..I’ve always been,” Akshay said in a statement.
“I’ve realized my fans love the dialogues I say on screen. And those are in Hindi. Why speak in a language your are not comfortable with? After all success is about being comfortable in your own skin and I’m finally doing that,” he added.
The stars visited Don Bosco school in Mumbai.
The actor, who is now gearing up for the release of his new film Desi Boyz with John Abraham, calls himself “desi” and says he is proud of his roots. More
Surprising and exciting his fans with his recent decision to speak, “Only or at least mostly in Hindi,” Bollywood star Akshay Kumar has decided to proudly wear his desi avatar on his sleeve.

They love me for speaking to them in their language; they connect with me because I remind them of their roots. So as a rule, I’ve decided to be myself.”
The actor also has no qualms in admitting that ‘Hindi’ as a language is something he is more comfortable conversing in. Says Akshay, “After all, we’re Hindi film stars.
